JustMellow:@JustMellow Pls can you help me interpret this message from CIC About VO's Views on every visa Applicant. In assessing an application, visa officers take into account a balance of several factors such as the applicant's ties to his or her homeland, employment, family, future plans, reasons for wanting to visit, incentive to return home, and previous dealings with immigration and visa officials. Also taken into consideration are “push” and “pull” factors, that is, political and/or economic conditions or an incentive to re-join relatives who have already immigrated, which might be pushing people out of their homelands and pulling them towards Canada. 1 Like |

Hi @salmahhhh I am not a guru, but I will try to help as much as I can. Also I do not have answers to all of your questions. 1. How can I tackle the employment situation? Immediately after first degree, I did NYSC, then second degree. • Just explain what you have been doing after your second degree. There is no harm in being unemployed, but if there is a gap, and no explanations as to why the gap, then it would seem you are not busy. • Be as truthful as possible, because it is easier to be truthful than to cook up any stories. Now what have you been doing since after your second degree? No matter what it is, put it there. 2. I did paper application. Will I have to apply for my passport to be sent back to Lagos or it will automatically be sent since it was a refusal? • For this I do not know, but from what I have read on the thread, I believe your passport will be sent to you. 3. Language and Literacy education, and English Education are related. Why is purpose of visit one of the reasons? • Though purpose of visit is a generic phrase they use for refusals, this can be tackled if you genuinely show you are going to Canada for study, and then tie the connection in your LOE. When you say Language and Literacy education how does that connect with English Education? 4. If I tackle all these problems appropriate for the next application, can another problem like travel history crop up? • Again this is uncertain, some persons in this forum have used new passport with zilch travel history to apply for study permit and were approved. (Also think the VOs use this as a generic as well) 5. My start date is September 2019. When will be the perfect time to reapply? • I think it might be too late to reapply given the current trend in delay of response from CIC, however there is no harm in trying. If you feel you have all the problems tackled, then you are good to go. 6. Personal asset and financial status. • Do you have any landed property or anything to show you have some assets? Also your financial status is of concern because you did not show anything of yours as per finances. 7. 3rd party sponsors SOA (inflow #68m, balance 86k - I was told that the balance wasn't important but the functionality of the account) • I do not think that is actually correct with regards to “balance wasn't important but the functionality of the account”. The balance may not be important, but I think it should be more than 86k. Like I pointed out earlier I am not an expert or guru in this, just my opinions based on what I have learnt on this thread. Best of luck. Salmahhhh: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Mudicua: 12:02pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
Hi What have you been doing since 2010 will be one of the reasons to fill the gap. Another reason is why do you wanna go now? Also what are you gonna study? Is it in any way related to what you have been doing? Or is it something new? or related to your BSc? These are things you need to consider. I have seen on this thread person who have a long gap between their studies and still approved visa. If you are able to clearly point that out in your application and LOE, and have all the appropriate and correct documents submitted, then i do not think you will have a problem. Best of luck. figur: 1 Like |

prospy01:Hello, sorry for the refusal. However your refusal is strictly based on financial grounds. This isn't something that can be rushed. Your sponsor and financial portfolio needs to be revised. Looking at your finances it is pretty much obvious you need to work on it. 7mill isn't sufficient enough considering other expenses such as; 1. Cost of caring for your supposed siblings and other living expenses of your parents. 2. The economic situation of Nigeria 3. Matter of fact if you deduct a years living expense plus tuition I think you'll realise that there is nothing left. P.s: If you decide to lodge money into the designated account for the purpose of the visa it will be flagged by the visa officer. So you have to be careful and thread carefully. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello gurus I just got a correspondence letter this morning. I applied via online route 7th of June and did biometric on the 11th and my upfront medical was updated to pass on the 13th of June. And today been the 27th of June I got a Correspondence Letter, I guess they have already reached a decision and it a refusal. Do I apply for my GCMS notes now before the final decision comes in to know how to tackle the points raised by the VO and also defer my admission to January intake 2020? |

Amahjosh: I'm not a guru but if you did upfront medical and it was updated to "passed", there's a chance that the decision would be an approval. I'm sure someone else would still respond to your question |

The gurus in d house, pls help me out. I applied for a study permit through an agent in 2017. Now I want to reapply. I've tackled the reasons for refusal. Now, do I just go to their site, create an account and start filling the forms according to their directives, or do I need to link my application now with my previous one? If the later, how do I do it? In the previous posts, someone said he has been trying to link his recent application to the previous one refused. Pls help me out. Looking at my system, I don't know where to begin. Pls every advice will be greatly appreciated. |

Shadypoza01: You just need only that passport request letter (a page) to submit your passport. Its even stated on the letter and that was the only thing I submitted here in Lagos last week friday then I paid 13480 or so for passport transmission |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by kcosam: 12:50pm On Jun 27, 2019 |
Amahjosh:Why not exercise patient and wait for the outcome of the final decision before taking any action. Final decision could be in favour since your upfront medical was updated to passed, its a 50/50 chance. |
