Contrary to what some folks here are saying, we won't be facing Egypt in the round of 16 .. Its the runner up in group F we will face... any of the 4 teams in that group can still finish 2nd ..

Salient point my brother... we are in the same camp. I don't see Rohr changing anything. Hence, as I would always say, "don't expect surprises from Rohr"

TheSuperNerd:
Of course, our problem is not Ighalo. It has never been Ighalo. But I insist we need an upgrade in that CF dept once this Afcon is done.

The Problem is Rohr's understanding of the players' strengths and weaknesses. He lacks the know-how, insight, bravery, inventiveness and Innovativeness on how to mastermind this fine pool of super talents he has gathered and make a Mega-force outta them.

Father Tiko and Otto Gloria from ages past will salivate at the plethora of attacking options we have because those guys were attacking masterminds. If Klopp came down to Africa and was asked to coach a team from among Senegal, Egypt or Nigeria. I can bet you he will choose the Super Eagles because it takes a coach like that to see visions of attacking wonders and offensive masterpieces that Nigeria's pool can achieve compared to Senegal's and Egypt's. Mane and Salah may be Klopp's players but Klopp will most likely go for Nigeria because of our wicked offensive deep pool.

Rohr lacks this Vision and foresight Klopp and his likes has when it comes to utilizing attacking pools of players. He doesn't know what to do with these talents that is why he always starts the ones that suits his conservative bull crap only getting it right in a few other roles as he doesn't have any choice but to start those ones.

Like I told you on my return... I recall I said something akin to....

"I don't know if we would win the Afcon but we have the quality. BUT THE KEYS ARE IN ROHR'S HANDS."

I know why I said that. Having all the quality is not what will give us success in Egypt. It is how Rohr handles the quality. Rohr is the man on who our 4th Afcon title hopes rises and falls.

Our problem lie in the man, Rohr and his perception of the team.

All your points are well noted.

I expect both Cameroon and Ghana to win their last group game.

So peeps are getting emotional over nothing.
We lost, so what?
I could vividly recall AFCON 2013.
We were to meet the Ivorians and so many peeps were shouting we cannot beat them upanda.
2004 against Cameroon, aahh Eto will destroy us!
What happened afterwards.

I don't deal with pessimist and kids.
Those of us that has been following soccer for 30+ years knows what the name Super Eagles can do.
What's all the wailing and gnashing of teeth for.

Our first team didn't start the match today.
We defeated the Guineas that topped the Ivorians during qualifiers.
So please don't mention silly ivory coast here.
I love your optimism bro .. I dey ur back.
BTW .. one bottle of krest for you

How can you play well when this team came to play rugby.
In a sane football match they should have collected nothing less than 2/3 Red cards.
Chuks, Onyekuru and Oshimen cannot do nothing in such a game that the useless Gassamma failed to protect the players.
This same Gassamma cancelled our 2 goals against South Africa.

Exactly! When a team parks the bus, all you need is a good crosser of ball and a players that can use their head to score.

No bro, you need to stretch the team. Crossing the ball will just play into the hands of the defending team.

Couldn't catch the game live.

Not surprised with the result. I don't know why it's taking you guys eons to accept that Rohr's job is over with this team. I and few others have said this several times that he ain't the man to take us to the promise land even if he ends up winning the AFCON. But una no go gree... Na to they call person names.

I hope you are seeing it for yourselves.

Too many changes. Sentiments will kill this team. Leon Balogun has made that mistake before but people overlooked time and time again. Algeria, Libya and now.

Btw I hope this next opinion kills some people but the key to unlocking a park the bus team was dropped. Kelechi Iheanacho is the only one who could shoot from outside the box everyone else just kick's and pray.

Bros, when was the last time Iheanacho actually hit the target with a shot?? grin cheesy grin

somehow:
Rohr is an average coach.

Not tactical

Can't read games

And a bad decision maker.

This game further exposed him.

He is one dimensional, he has one tactical plan and if that is not working he has nothing else to fall back on.

I feel like this tournament will probably determine Rohr's future in relation to the SEs.

That man go get future for Nigeragain, if he does then he is definitely splitting his salary with one oga at the top. Like SuperNerd said it is time to thank him for the hardwork he put in and now move on.

TheGoodJoe is even captain of this team. He is with us. Mickael2 is also in this camp. Truly Rohr will not take us to the promised Land.

I know his positives and I have praised it severally...BUT... He is not just brave enough and inventive enough to make the best use of the rise of another golden pool of young super talents in Nigerian football.

I have given the man time. He is not our Joshua.

I think Paul Aigbogun should be appointed

you can say that all over again!

I don't know why our people are been conservative with the truth.

Well, me o. I'm not impressed one bit about this man called Rohr and his results. The truth of the matter is that we are not progressing as a team. One needs to separate RESULTS from PROGRESS.

I watched Holland play yesterday and I marveled. They are rebuilding after they missed out in this year's world cup. Their new team is less than 2years (post Robben Era) but it is more obvious that they are on the rise. Sense of purpose in their play, clear cut pattern of football, the boys are getting better with each match. They defeated the World Champions yesterday with a team with average players just like ours(cos Aside Van dyke others are just average too). They qualified from a group that has Germany and France.

But ask these Rohr's defenders that aside qualification for the World Cup and AFCON what else can we say about his team.
No improvement in pattern of playe. No winning mentality in the boys. Na to de experiment up and down.

A lowly SA are even calling us their rivals. What an insult! We went out against them today seeking for a draw. It's like Wales calling Germany their football rival.

Something needs to be done asap. Else we will just waste this pool of talent at our disposal. It's so sad.
