Wow. Name issues can be frustrating in Naija. Am in Abuja, I can help you make an enquiry from here later in the day. Pele

Duchynwa:
Help with Drivers licence

My family recently got their PR approved and will be arriving Canada soon. To ensure my husband is able to go for g2 or even g(full driving licence) upon their arrival in Canada, he is trying to obtain his driving history but there is an problem: his name is not properly written in the right order on his licence; instead of XYZ (X is surname,Y is first name and Z is the middle name), the name is printed as ZYX, making his middlename look like his surname. Since I am currently in Canada, I have visited the transportation ministry here and asked them about this and was told that XYZ is not same person as ZYX even though the intl shows his picture and date of birth as well as the driver's licence. They advised that he obtained a letter feom from FRSC or embassy saying that ZYX on thr driver's licence is same as XYZ but the FRSC person he talked to said they cant write such letter.
A little background, this mistake was made when he got his licence the first time, he was told it will be corrected when he goes to renew it. He went to renew it 2months ago and yet the name change was not effected as the FRSC IT person office claimed there is embargo on name modification. The new renewed licence is bearing same wrong order of his name.

Now, we are a bit confused on how to resolve this and worst of all, we are running out on time as their flight is booked.

I will appreacite if anyone here can advise on how best to resolve this or give us contact of who to reach out to.

A friend suggested he go back and claim he lost his licence and request for reprinting and them ask for the correct order of his name but I wonder if they will effect the correction since there is an embargo on name modification.

Another voice said he should get an affidavit and take it to the FRSC office to be stamped with the same stamp that will be used to stamp his driving history, I don't know how feasible this will be since he is in Lagos and I learnt the driving history is written in Abuja, how will he meet the person that will stamp it.

A third person suggested that he get an international driving licence and while doing that, ensure that his name is properly placed that will allow him to drive in Canada for one year, I don't know if that is possible,i.e driving in Canada for one year with int'l driver's licence and also if he can use he can combine it with a driving history to go for his g licence here.

Another suggested that he go to Abuja at their headquarters and they will resolve it. He is currently in Lagos with the kids and travelling to Abuja is not what he can do that easily especially since we are running out of time.

Pls I am sorry for the wrong post but we urgently need help and I want to be sure that our situation is properly explained.

I really need him to be able to drive since we have kids and jobs to attend to, so, it won't be that easy if I am the only one driving, moreover some jobs here will even require valid driving licence.

Pls help a desperate sister.I don't know what's our best solution to the current situation.

Thanks all

Hi guys,

Please am looking for IELTS study partners in Abuja who would want to meet and practice together or if there's already a group like that someone please add me.

2ndly, I saw a comment that your work experience doesn't have to be on a particular job? I thought on the CRS tool , it was stated "...and in only one occupation" to claim the length of time. Pls epp if you can.

Thank you

Good day Sirs and Ma'ams. I'm on the verge of using ICES (because of WES's wahala) for my ECA, how advisable is this ? How do I get my documents delivered to them on time ?

Also, can I claim points for 1 year internship? If yes, how do I prove it(what document will I need to upload)?

Lastly, after simulation, I got a CRS of 402. What are my chances of getting NOI from Manitoba PNP My NOC is 2113 (Geoscientists ...)
for manitoba u have to apply and also have a relative/family member there and your occupation must be in demand(your noc is not) . Go for masters or learn french

LOL the bolded made me chuckle. Uncle sibling.

Anyway, to answer your question. Here are some options.
1. Max out IELTS
2. Get a second degree/certificate (very important)
3. Learn French and take TEF
4. More years of work experience (how many years of work experience do you currently have?)

Age is on your side but I suggest you start taking action and not delay.

Thanks so much, but I have a family member there and having a masters or leading French may not be on my table for now. Hence why I asked of my chances with that CRS for MPNP NOI

mpnp has its own points grid and in demand occupation list. So better do one of those short courses and retake ielts. As your occupation is not in demand in manitoba

You can't add an uncle as a sibling o.

Please add another certificate/degree or increase your work experience if you don't have up to three years. Look at @Stencil's reply to you.

Try logging in again today. It could be an NOI from a province since you are pre ITA. Unless you had a birthday recently.

Still pre ITA...

If you're sure you didn't use them to claim points, you're not required to upload them before submitting now. You can mention the educational history in personal history. If they arrive before submission, all well and good.

Frawzey:

No I did not use my spouse's WES & IELTS to claim points.

Also requested that its sent to a friend in the UK and have it scanned.

Inshort, if one gets ITA few days to your account expiry date, will it extend one's profile or I have to provide all necessary documents before the expiration date?

Thanks.

i think you should just call.. With Qlife i believe the person you speak with determines the response, i was able to send a mail and book before ITA and even reschedule with favorable dates and this is very recent.
I heard there's a form one have to take along to qlife for the medicals, it is really advisable and at no risk to do the medicals before ITA??

1- yes it has to be in your accout( is it not your settlement fund It has to follow u to canny too.
2. Better to notorise its less than 2k - i did not notorise mine tho. Have seen about 3 people on another forum who didnt and have gotten PR.
3. Qlife you need ita to book. Use iom they have closer dates. If iom gives you date of june 14 qlife would give you like july 6
I actually booked for qlife medicals before ITA and also was able to do it. they called it upfront medicals....although I'm hearing from so quarters that it's risky cos it's only valid for a year and one has to land Canada within that one year validity or retake it...so I'd advice one take it when one is sure of getting ITA in the shortest possible time.

I have been bearing U**** right from birth, and my parents were separated ever since. It was till 2** that my father died that I realised its I**** and not U****. However, I didn't change the surname and have been using it till date. My step siblings bear I*****. First, will it be misrepresentation if I don't explain my real surname is i****? Secondly, will there be an issue if I add my sibling in the application with the right surname?

Please help fam

Good morning. Pls I’m new here. I’m about applying for EE. Can my NYSC serve as 1 year of Experience for me. Though I have 2 years of work experience. I want to make it 3 years so I can have a CRS point of 475.

Note: I don’t hv my nysc posting letter anymore. What document can I use instead?

Also About WES... I’m trying to evaluate my MSC. Will I have to evaluate my WAEC also with it or it would be MSC alone?

Come and see, what the lord has done for me…. if it were to be man I would surely pay!

Where can I start from… Its not PPR, or ITA… it’s IELTS. Finally, it has been conquered.
Whoever thought the beginning of this new month would bring smiles to my face.

I started my IELTS journey October 2018 practiced for 3 months, so I can write it in Jan 2019. I focused solely on writing, with the belief that the other modules would be just perfect. (I wanted to max out by all means).

Reading and Listening held me down in my 1st attempt but I maxed out on the other two. I shook my body and registered for the next one. Shebi it is to spend another 68k, this Canada we must enter.

While preparing for my 2nd attempt, I started praying and fasting, read that catholic prayer. I just wanted to get this over with. I told God to give me a date. In my sleep, I dreamt that I was talking to someone and the person said I LIKE 30TH.

I woke up not knowing what 30th meant. I just brushed it over and registered for my 2nd attempt with MOD in March. The test was amazing! I thought it was the end of IELTS! When results came out, Reading held me down AGAIN! I was hurt, pained, devastated! I cried mehn! I just thought God wasn’t listening to all my pleas.

At this point, I was just weak. I did not know what else to do. Then a friend⁩ gave me the advice to register with BC CBT. In my mind I was like, so I would cough out another 75k? Wow! I summoned up courage and decided I would go for it – Then I remembered 30TH.

I logged on to BC website, and booked April 30th. Went for the exam and the worst happened! Nepa took light when we were doing the writing component, coupled with that, they had server issues! That day, we finished the exam 5pm. Immediately I just gave up! This one is another 75k no doubt! Before we left, the BC officials assured us that we had the chance to write the exam again for FREE, if we didn’t like the outcome of the result.

I already made up my mind that I would write it again jare, shebi it is free!

I picked a new date, June 20th! Prepared with all my life! Went into the exam hall and said one prayer God, give me the scores that I need. Remember, my wants were to max out, but God already knew what I needed and he gave it to me.

Lo and behold, results came out today and I had:
L 8.5
R 7
W 7
S 7.5

Special thank you to @d4eva who has been reviewing my essays since October 2018. I am so indebted to you. Thank you @adiepena for your reviews as well. And to everyone who shared one tip or another, y'all are the real MVPS.

NOW MY WATCH HAS ENDED.
