if you want a local coach...
ogunbote will do better...

Lol... Let him do something with other small and unknown clubs in the NPFL and I will take him serious.
kadiri Ikhana achieved winning the NPFL with the highest point ever with enyimba and he even had the highest unbeaten record... you didn't recommend him but go ask for Aigbogun who could not make tactical sub and changes in the last cadet world cup and even read games for the super eagles....

you baffles me....

enyimba is the Barcelona or the bayern Munich of the NPFL...any average coach can achieve anything like the 2nd place team with them....
so that's not a feet.

I don't know about Ogunbote and Ikhana's style of play, the reason I spoke about the ones I know. John Obuh, Emmanuel Amunike and Aigbogun.

If any average coach can achieve anything with Enyimba, then you should not have suggested Ogunbote and Ikhana because winning the league with these clubs were not a feet. But Aigbogun achieved second position with Warri Wolves. I think this is a great feet.

However, let me remind you, Kadiri Ikhana failed to qualify the Nigeria U23 team for the Olympics tournament in 2004. According to you, Ikhana is a failure with the national team.

You baffle me too much..... grin

The bold was exactly what we did yesterday but it didn't work.

They should have brought in Osimhen or Onuacha for Ahmed Musa. Then you have two strikers in the box able to use their head to score
.

At the bolded, who would've been the second striker able to use his head? Ighalo?
And again the quality of our crosses in have always been below average - no power, no swerve, no quick dip - the team may still have struggled. Records show that each time we are chasing a game and we start putting in those crosses, more often than not the exercise is fruitless. I think Rohr knows this. Which begs the question - why have both Osihmen and Onuachu in the team?
After stretching play, what I think the team needed was good movement off and on the ball in the final third which was grossly lacking. My thoughts though.

We will win this AFCON. That loss will end up being a blessing in disguise.

My advice for the team is to score goals early to avoid chasing games.

Quite frankly its not Victor Ikpeba... I cant remember the dude's name. Ikpeba doesnt do commentaries. He is only seen on the picth side for pre/post match analysis
its actually Ikpeba's voice. Especially during qualifiers.

Did you count 22 games on that snapshot?
You said he played as a SS, so I focused mainly on the number of games he played as a SS.

I am pondering over the thoguht that perhaps this loss was much needed and that it served as a wake up call. I am starting to think that if we had won, we would’ve ignored our deficiencies, head to the round of 16 and suffered a major upset to a third place team like South Africa or Kenya.

Prior to the start of AFCON, I lamented that this group lacked competition and would work to the detriment of the team since we wouldn’t have a tough match early on in the tournament. I feared that our group stages could’ve a cake walk.

Perhaps Madagascar was the tough encounter that we indeed needed in order to instill humility and seriousness squad so we can perform well at the latter stages.

He played majorly as a SS but still played other positions.

He is not lying. He makes sense. Nwakali's only minus is his club career instability. That lad can be key for us as he is readily accessible.

Eze Ebere, Aribo and Onomah can always follow and displace him if he doesn't do enough to hold a shirt down.

You're right. It's time we start looking for players with specific qualities, not just those that play in top teams. We need players that are good in dead ball situations, wingers that are deadly with crosses, some that are good with long range scorchers and the likes and not to discountenance players with maddening work rate.
But this has to start with right coach in synch with the right scouting team. My thoughts....

If it was in a better league the story would have been different. Playing in Belgium 2nd division at 26 years is not defendable grin

No. All I am trying to say is that you can't use his stats against him and at the same time flaunt Iwobi's horrible stats.

Mikel jumps at the Trabzonspor deal seeing that a move to a Sheffield or Norwich is no longer feasible with his dire showing in the AFCON so far. Practically, had to call Trabzonspor officials over the phone to strike a deal. No medicals, nothing.

AFCON 2019: Madagascar 2 -0 Nigeria. Official post match press conference, Rohr unhappy

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is unhappy with his fringe players Victor Osimhen and Henry Onyekuru after a dissapointing loss.

He sited that he didnt like the attitude of the players, they show off. This shows you that he will never play them no matter what, even chukwueze who managed to play against burundi may not see game time again.

This is a clear case of bias and sentiments, the man is highly sentimental and this is not good for our team, I bet even if he manage to play them he will put them in the wrong set up to fail.

NFF should sack this man now!!

No need to gloat. Play him in the right position and he may yet churn out Pirlo-esque performances. Besides, your earlier constant criticism of Mikel came at a time he was playing well and therefore was out of place. It's just a lucky coincidence he's had a bad start to the AFCON Darkelf.

I can because a goal scored by Iwobi weight 5 points but Belgium division 2 goals should be -0.2. grin

The difference is clear. grin

It is true though.

Iwobi should try improve his end product. His goal contribution in over 50 games is not good looking.
