Zaha is in arguably the best winger in EPL possibly Europe

90 million is not too much for him, Dembele was bought for 120 million
We've had this debate before. Dembele is younger and had better numbers in two different leagues.
Zaha is 27 - not a prospect.

Richalison scored 3 goals last 2 seasons Everton bought him for 50 million

If Zaha was Brazilian, Real Madrid would have tabled 100 million for him

Agreed without thinking twice

Now u are talking, if you value the player they add, then one us getting close to the Crystal Palace valuation.
Which player will that be? I don't expect any if the younger players in my opinion. We will see how it all unfolds.
Don't know but I'm betting it might be Chambers. I personally would go 40 plus a player.

Going forward after d tournament, whether we triumph or not,I believe its high time we allowed Mikel move on,so we can concentrate on dt PLAYMAKER/AM ROLE SOLN once and for all,his stay in our team, seems not to allow dt area to b well worked on,ogu will definitely won't b considered again, whether rohr stays or not

For musa...well dts a 50/50 chance,

I would av loved ighalo to b eased out of d national team too, provided nacho up his game and rediscover his mojo back,we can't rely only on untested osimhen and a flop nacho as d solution to our number 9 position

If not ighalo might still b called upon if things doesn't change...d likes of (odey, awoniyi, ajayi and co), to me are not better options smiley

Not just Mikel but I also think the likes of Musa, Ogu, Ighalo (some may not like this but he is equally very inconsistent), Balogun (I think his career may be on a downward trend after this tourney unless he proves us wrong), Akpeyi (he would never get over his shaky shaky mentality..let's face it). These guys should leave for younger and better players to take their place.

Maybe you lack comprehension skills. Didn't you see where I wrote 'the problem I see with local coaches is selection problem"?

Next time read and comprehend before rushing to make comments here.

Besides, if Ajagun and Kayode deserves to be called into national team provided they perform in their respective clubs, what stops me or any reasonable Nigerian from clamouring for their inclusions to the national team?

Are those called more Nigerian than them?

Mister, only Iwobi plays in a better UEFA ranking club than Kayode. Let that sticks to your mind.

When u already knew the bolded then why clamour for Aigbhoun? U are obviously just looking for somebody u can easily blame when the wrong selections start coming..

What does ur last statement even mean? Is the Ukraine league here Kayode plays highly ranked than the laliga where Chukwueze and Simon play or the serieA and Turkish league?
Abi Kayode is competing for AM/WF role with Iwobi??

I know it may be premature but I want us to start Osimhen on the next match.

Now, I'm not saying he is better than all our strikers ooo bit let us give him a chance to see what he can do against st stiffer defences at the senior level. Then, we'll know if lack of supply is the problem or other strikers are just bad.

Super Eagles coach Rohr to be sacked – Report

Gernot Rohr - On the way out?

SHARES

Whatever happens with the Super Eagles at the AFCON in Egypt, coach Gernot Rohr will be fired according to Sporting Life.

Three-time African champions Nigeria, who are ranked 42nd in the world by FIFA, lost 2-0 to debutants Madagascar, who are 108th in the world, Sunday to finish runners-up in Group B of the AFCON.

The daily all-sports newspaper quoted top NFF officials that whatever the outcome of the Eagles outing at the AFCON, Rohr will be sent packing.

The report said lawyers are currently studying how best to terminate his contract.

Last week, news broke that he is owed several months’ pay and a World Cup bonus promised him since 2017 had not been kept.

Rohr, 66, is in the final year of his contract after he extended his tenure by two more years just before last year’s World Cup.

He qualified the country to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where the team failed to go past the first round.

Rohr also led the Eagles to the 2019 AFCON after they failed to qualify for the previous two editions back-to-back.

Hmmm I'm not too sure about this..

that what he'll do in our next .... we'll see a different team by God's grace on July 6 let just calm down and be optimistic about this dude he'll come up with something great

U have no idea how much I love the super eagles... I've tried to be soft in my criticism of rohr cus he is still the coach.I gotta support him..But ain't putting any optimism in his abilities..

That evening when we played Croatia at the world cup, immediately I saw the lineup I knew the man was crazy.. Which sane coach will play 5. pre world cup friendlies all of which showed which formation best suited the team against bigger oppositions and the best players for each role...yet he started with a 4-3-3 and used Shehu as RB and Iwobi on the wing... u have no idea how mad I was. then come Argentina game...

The last one was the south Africa game.. imagine us parking the bus against South Africa! Odikwa!!

I'm.still supporting this team with all my heart . but if we don't make it to the final Rohr must go!! The last time we were fortunate to have such a talented squad was in the 1990s and we utilized them well..We didn't win the world cup,yes but we were feared across Africa and beyond!!
Rohr shouldn't come and spoil this team for us!!

Somebody who score 20 goals in the last seasoned has accomplished enough to start an AFCON match where you have fumbling Ighalo and headless chicken Musa. Musa has nothing else to offer and we have a player who can play there. WHY IS ONYEKURU NOT BEING PLAYED ?

I think it's time Musa retires from the national team he doesn't have the technical ability to break down defences

And when he's not afforded space to run he doesn't contribute much

I don't agree with you.

But l would say that an astute, forward thinking and intelligent coach. Will tactically structure his team to bring out the best of the attributes of his individual players. That's what he is there to do to create effective team cohesion for competitive advantage.

Musa is possibly one of the fastest forward players in Africa.

We should set the team up to play to his strengths not the other way round. Expect him to play like Zaha when that's not his unique skill set.

It's a failing of the management of the team not the player.

Onyekuru, Chukwueze, Kalu plays both wings

And play it better. Musa can not cross a ball....Cut off Musa's space and he is done. Dude and Shehu are the least technical players in that team.

Ryan Fraser has more assists, created more chances and also had 20+ goal involvement yet I bet you wouldn't say he's a 90m player if he had a contract like Zaha?

Madagascar gave no space, and when you don't give space to run Musa has very poor interchange play

Football is moving beyond Adama Traore kind of wingers, we should be looking towards technical wingers like Onyekuru

They are younger. Zaha is 27. Simple. Dembele played and preformed in the ucl. Potential >>.
Zaha is not established enough to make that argument with.

If you can contribute goals and assists like Zaha does 90 million is not a bad price
