About the IELTS, any tips on how to ace it like yours please?

at the bolded. Otemwen, I can understand your frustration. But pls know in this game, you will require (a) lot of patience. Having read messages from page to page on this thread, I've come to realize that PPR timelines can never be the same! And then it hit me, that to everything under the sun, there's a time and purpose to it. This verification 'of a thing' will happen when it will happen, and that might be in the morning. So pls, while you make efforts to rectify this, don't be too upbeat. Trust me, there are still loads of challenges ahead.. Ask those on the PPR Hall of Fame.. Well, try search for and PM @Chynwey. She's based in Benin as well, and she has a contact at Uniben's Ex & Rec office. She's always willing to help. Who knows? She might be able to help you out with this. All the best.

I'm curious though as to what transpired between June 2018 (when you already scaled both ECA and IELTS hurdles) and Dec 2018 (when you finally decided to dive in and earned ITA almost a week later). Absolutely true Mr Raph! If only we can have your message pinned as the first message on each new page. It's really demanding keeping up with this thread these days simply because we newbies keep asking mostly the same or similar questions, and in cycles as well!! There's this newbie named @Jaybye who unusually and remarkably noticed this peculiar problem on this page here Observation. The earlier we act on this issue, the better.

Well, I noted somethings which have to be addressed:

1. People keep spamming the thread with email addresses and personal contact details. Please, do not forget that this is a public forum and your personal details could be used for unauthorized purposes. Besides, it doesn't help the looks of the thread.

2. Too many newbies keep asking very similar questions again and again. The questions are so repetitive that it would take you just one or 2 pages scroll to see a repetition of the questions. Like i always advice people (especially those more knowledgeable in the process), answering questions on this platform is never a competition. Try and redirect people to page 1. It is there for a purpose. As long as people keep responding to repeated questions again and again... newbies would keep asking again and again.

Now let me tell you the implication of this.... Apart from the thread being untidy, people would find it very difficult to find some key information because those kinda valuable information would be pushed back to previous threads. This is currently inevitable because of the speed at which the thread is currently moving at.

Furthermore, we need to use the platform to encourage people to research themselves even before asking. I saw someone that just posted a question on whether writing BCS would earn him/her extra points despite having masters... and few pages backward, this answer had been provided. Besides, information such as this are very basic.

People should not wait for Topsmamen, ladymarshall, Joo, Ifeoma77 and all to respond before they get their issues sorted. Please, research yourself.... after all DIY is what we preach here.Besides, once you get your PPR, start preparing to land or you land... you would find it really difficult to keep up with this thread.

I hope we do our best to correct this anomaly.

I wish everyone hoping for one thing or the other success in advance.

Haha actually, I kept my funds for 6 months. I didnt want to hear stories. I did the basics - IELTS and WES and kept.

With the socre estimate from the CRS tool, I was quite confident I'll get ITA as soon as I joined the pool, but my POF wouldn't have matured.

So I just chilled until it matured before I submitted my profile.
