goldust777: I have been following your exchange with the other guy, but I must admit you are the dumbest man I’ve seen claiming woke. The fact that you are the largest producer of a product doesn’t mean you can’t import. Other factors like population contributes to imports. China is the largest producer of rice in the world but Thailand is the largest exporter. This is due to the fact that China is more populous than Thailand. The fact that Nigeria rose to be the largest producer of rice in Africa under this administration is a testament to the success of its investment in rice production. Stop arguing like a fool. 1 Like |

anonimi: Why? Because that was NOT your question... Nonetheless, while I am in no position to know how much the LASG spent on that policy initiative (sadly Lagos’ finances are admittedly largely opaque), there’s nothing wrong with expending some public funds on laudable initiatives - and frankly transiting to cleaner LPG is laudable. > |

9jaRealist: Paying your taxes and holding your government accountable so they use your tax money properly. Thats how a country can move forward! Glad you indirectly agreed with me that the problem of Nigeria is fundamentally Nigerians themselves; not the leaders, not politicians but Nigerians. Ordinary, everyday Nigerians are the problem of that country because aside the fact that they don’t pay their taxes, it is from this same lot that the leaders of the country are picked from. They are not imported from other countries or brought from space. The slapping senator is he from Mali, he is a Nigerian and he reflects the true nature of Nigerians - Rude, brass, authoritative and quick to temper. Those shouting online for his arrest and prosecution would do even worse if they had an ounce of his position or power as a senator. 1 Like |

9jaRealist:I don't need you to dare me FAO.ORG is an open Internet site to the public.stop daring your stupidity I can see you have sent your fellow internet E warriors to attack me online that's not going to change the fact that people are going to do fact finding on their own to know why buhari nerica nigerian rice failed woefully is almost out of circulation. How the high expectations from Nigerians and farmers turned out to be another ghost project before our eyes, and we are back to exporting rice at 17k per bag instead of 7k per bag for a failed rice that was never feasible right from the beginning a rice project that was dead on arrival.Because our government neglected adequate research and just jumped blindly on a rice farming project that was planned to fail right from the beginning |

KenModi: No desire to veer widely off topic... You b*tched about the activities of the governor being publicized when he was merely doing what he was supposed to do, and a rational explanation was proffered wrt that point. The reason that virtually every LASG project under the past administration had a sign that read “Your Taxes at Work” is precisely because it is necessary to convince taxpayers and potential taxpayers of the utility of paying taxes. Meanwhile, people who do not pay taxes have NO right (moral nor legal) to hold anyone else accountable because they are effectively “stealing” from the commonwealth themselves. Accordingly, anything that encourages everyone to live up to their respective civic responsibilities is GREAT! Meanwhile, not really interested in any anthropological discourse about the Nigerian psyche or personality, except to note wherever you may currently reside (and please don’t tell me because I really could not care less), you and your progeny will forever be IMPRINTED with Nigerian genes (and probably some modicum Nigerian mores and cultural values). > |

Re: Governor Sanwo Olu Inspects The Largest Rice Mill In Nigeria. Pictures. by KenModi(m): 10:39am On Jul 05, 2019 |
9jaRealist: Yah. Keep putting up signs that say “your taxes are at work” and not taking measures to punish those don’t pay and ensure they is a little loophole as possible for those who intend evading taxes; and see if there would be any taxes left to be used to even erect those signs. Keep encouraging them to live up to their civic responsibilities by putting up signs. As if people actually care about signs. In fact don’t only put up signs, erect billboards!! Nonsense! The only way people would comply is if they know there are consequences if they don’t comply. Nigerians need iron hand! Real hot iron hands. That is only when that useless country with lots of potentials would move forward! U.S citizens as well as citizens of other saner countries don’t pay their taxes because their government puts up signs that their taxes are at work, they only pay because they know there are grave consequences for tax evasion. And that is exactly what Nigerians need. Serious iron hand that would either make them bend or break if they try to steal from the govt. And by the way, I never intended telling you where I currently reside. That info is my private business and is of no use to you cos for all i know, you may be a thief, cyber hacker, online scammer or a kidnapper. Only brought up the fact that I don’t live in the U.S because you out of no where threw Trump into the matter. What has Trump got to do with the American people not singing the praises of their governors at every single thing they do. Or is Donald Trump a governor And in your words he promotes himself, and not a majority of the people promoting him and singing his praises at everything he does. He sings his own praises. Can you please explain to me using your low IQ brain how Trump singing his own praises connects with Nigerians singing the praises of their governors You are not interested in discoursing “anthropological discourse about the Nigerian psyche or personality” but you go on to tell me I would forever be imprinted with Nigerian genes. How much more stupid and contradictory can you get?? |
