Well, when Christians pray every morning on school grounds in Jesus name is the definition of turning the school into a religious house. You don't see Muslims protesting. Talk about hypocrisy and pure undiluted hate and intolerance by the principal and the board of Governors of ISI

I really find it difficult to understand how what someone wears define the next person. If I put on trainers, does that mean my friend is also putting on trainers. The hijab is personal, that is why it is on a Muslim girls hear and not the Christian girl. Also, ISI is not a private school. The principal is welcome to ban hijab in her school established with her own money on her own property.

This is false! There is no court ruling stopping them from wearing hijab, neither is it anywhere in the school rules and code of conduct that students should not wear hijab. Rather, the court had issues with the filing and presentation of the law suit, brought forward by the parents, therefore, the suit had to be filed in a manner conforming with their claims.

ISI is a school under the management of the University of Ibadan, which is a federal institution. This means, since there is a provision for freedom of expression of religious views in the Nigerian constitution, wearing hijab for students since it doesn't affect the well-being of a fellow student or the environment as a whole, should be allowed.

Stop being emotional and ask yourself how it affects you as a parent or your children, if another student wears hijab to school.

Hijab is not in the school code. We all grew up in unity schools where no one wore Hijab except in the mosque not to talk of private school. Let students come to school to learn and stop teaching them hatred and segregation from a young age. When they are adults they can pick up Hijab.

She should remove her hijab. There should also not be any form of prayers, any calling of God's name in the school premises , no reference made to any religion either by students or teachers. All pictures or wall painting depicting Christianity, Islam or traditionalist should be removed from the school premises. Everyone should leave their religious dogmas at the gate before entering the school. Case closed.
