First of all, my theory test was a one-time experience and it went well. I am happy.

Secondly, (and most importantly), I would like to get a first car. A little thing. Used. Max £800).
I have been looking at Gumtree and Facebook marketplace and recently e-bay. Autotrader seem expensive. I found 1 car auction company in Letchworth, Hertfordshire too.

Please what is the best way I could get a little Banger? Something little. A good runner. Dazzol.

You clearly work in the health sector...... If you have no documentations of immunisation coverage..... A simple blood test can ascertain coverage......

Either your GP or OH department, can undertake such test....

Do you have a visible BCG scar?....

yes o... most especially when you are on 8am to 8pm workshifts. Nairaland and my naija whatsapp is a good place for cracking up my ribs during the 15 minutes/30minutes break at work...

A blood test would show cover......... And if you have had no vaccinations, start stretching your arms out.........


If you have had cover, the blood results print out, would show cover level.......

One thing I'd advise is that before you conclude on a particular car, make sure to do a check on how much the insurance will cost. This may significantly influence your decision.

Check gumtree and preloved........

Odometer reading does not affect insurance premium. But would affect any eventual payout, incase vehicle is written off............


Make sure you conduct a HPI check on any vehicle + historical MOT checks............

This is cheap. My first car insurance was circa £1500, the car itself cost me only £950. £789 for a first car insurance is very cheap, it should go do to circa £450 after your first year no claims is banked.

That's all you need in this UK . Quick info you can get before any online search, the plate number also denotes the year car was manufactured/registered eg DG11 Bleep is a 2011 car registered in Bleep location, while DG61 (50 added to any year from 2000) could either be 2011 or 2012 sometimes

Engine size
Odometer/ current mileage
make and model
Diesel or petrol
Factory spec or spruced up

Then from you- estimate of annual.mileage you think you'll be driving, social or business use

Be careful though, did a transfer with her some years ago. She told me the rate and after the transfer was complete I noticed that the money was not complete as expected. I contacted her and she then told me she deducted her charges, which was not part of our arrangement and was never mentioned. It would have been better for me to use other money transfer agents if she had told me about her charges. There was nothing much I could do as I had laid her already. Needless to say I haven't gone near or reffered anyone to her based on my bad experience.
I also forgot to add that it took more than a day to get my money. I asked for a refund which she declined.

I haven't been on here for a while, there is commission if u are sending money from uk to Nigeria, It has alway been so. am sorry u were not aware.

there is however no charges if u are sending naira to uk, i.e if u are recieving pounds.
