You have this ‘I-too-know trait’ that you should work on. By the way, go and read on E.L.D.S before you argue. 2 Likes |

Good day fellow medical students I would like to ask a question... I have a first degree in physiology from Olabisi Onabanjo Uni with 2:1. My O’level result is below; Maths B3 Eng B3 Chem C4 Bio C5 Phy C5 I actually applied to OAU due to low tuition fee but now im thinking of switching to another Uni because I don’t want to gamble/lose with my admission this year. Do you think I have a chance in OAU? If OAU is not visible, which other fed uni can I choose putting my o’level and 1st degree result into consideration? Don’t tell me to switch to OOU because I know that my chances of gaining admission into OOU for MBBS is very high considering the post utme exams that will be done and the fact that it’s my alma mater but the tuition fee is something else(200k+). |

People like you will still be retaking SER here in OAU. The person you quoted is a trained pharmacist who has the financial capacity to pay your tuition till you'd graduate... Mind you there are hundreds of people currently studying mbbs as second degree - so drop the ITK attitude... Being smart is not a problem you've just attached rudeness to your own and it stinks. 6 Likes |

Hi Olajumoke. Congratulations on your first degree. I'd try to be as blunt as possible... Your O'level and class of degree qualifies you for medicine in OAU. Where the problem lies is the competition. According to the last admission process, OAU admitted (+ or -) 15 students via DE and they all were within her catchment. Every year OAU admission stuffs gets stringent, if you really believe you'd be able to beat all odds - stay with Ife but if not I'd say change to UI (cuz of admission transparency) or a less competitive med school like state unis. Gracias. |
