POSITION: SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER

• HND/BSC Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum of Upper Credit/Second Class Upper Division

• Membership of Nigerian Society of Engineer, COREN

• Minimum of 8 years cognate post qualification experience in Power, Oil & Gas Sector

• Proficient in MS portfolio, MS Project & PLS Card is a mandatory requirement


JOB DESCRIPTION

• A prospective holder of this position must have the ability and readiness to work at any part of the country.

• Planning & scheduling the project activities & handling the complete cycle of the project management entailing Planning, Organizing and managing resources up to final execution of the project.

• Responsible for providing budget to Supply Chain Management team and coordinating with them for the procurement of the materials and timely delivery at site.

• Coordinating with the Design department for the design related issues and getting BOQ for material procurement.

• Submission, presentation and defend Engineering drawings designed by design teams to clients and various statutory authorities and obtain necessary approvals for construction, manufacturing, testing, dispatch and commission etc.

• Handling all the documentation related to the project as drawings, invoices, reports, correspondences & material related, etc.

• Maintains a good relationship with the clients and coordinates with client for proper planning & scheduling the project activities.

• Participate in the negotiation with subcontractors for the finalization of various subcontracts.

• Coordinating with various sub-contractors for planning & scheduling the project activities for smooth & timely execution of the project.

• Supervising all Company’s Electrical, Civil & mechanical works involved in the execution of transmission line projects

• Planning, coordinating & controlling manpower and material for transmission line project execution.

• Coordinating with project office and other functional departments to ensure uninterrupted from of works from design stage to commission.

• Preparing progress reports and Bar Charts for reporting & reviewing purpose to describe the clear picture/status of the work progress.

• Prepare Project Completion reports and obtain milestone and completion certificates.

• Uphold a high level of professional and safety standard in line with best practice in a transmission line.

• Other related responsibilities as assigned.
