you won't blame them how much are they paid... a security guard is earning 25-29 thousand per month and has a family...why won't he ask for Tips...perhaps ezekwesili is right people should earn decent wages..there should be decent infrastructures and good system to encourage the haves not to have hope of going to school...staying healthy if sick etc...

contract work might not be bad but govt need to do more regulations and ensure companies pay decent wages...security guards abroad earn per hour and location also determine how high u earn...imagine folks working in malls earning 25 thousand and working 12hrs and u say make dem no Roger...

Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has blamed the economy for the beggarly attitude of gatemen and security personnel in public places, Igbere TV reports.


Mrs Ezekwesili tweeted severally on Saturday lamenting the spate at which security personnel channel energy into accosting incoming and departing guests with the aim of getting tips to supplement their income.


“Pretty sure that one is not the only Nigerian extremely alarmed and crying about the dehumanizing effect of the economy on some of our people. When mobbed by gatemen, security personnel and their other colleagues whose Good Morning is Give Me Money , I feel very sad for us all.
