Elisha111: Run away fro that agent, you are qualify to apply to a some universities, just look at their cgpa requirement before you apply. Just to google type german universities and start searching from there. Best of luck 2 Likes |

Bruh, first thing first, the agent is trying to sell you on his idea so that he can make money off you but don't let him. You don't need any agent and they can't guarantee you any thing. Your CGPA is not bad, when converted to German system, it's a 2.2 and most schools require 2.5. In Germany, 1. 0 is the max, just like 5.0/4.0 depending on the course duration. You can do the conversion here. https://msingermany.co.in/german-grade-calculator/ So you're above the minimum required by most schools. If you want to do another degree program, it's your choice and if it's direct Masters, am sure you will find some decent courses that will accept you. What you need to do is to use Google and start narrowing down your school choices and courses. Use Google and start checking the schools one by one. U can also use this daad site and check. https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/ Forget about the agent and start searching bruh, you'll be fine. I hope it helps. It depends on the city. If its a big city you might get job. If it's a small city, you might not find job without German. Though its advisable to learn German before going, you'll be at an advantage. Plus everyone's grace is different. Onaco: 4 Likes |

iPOD007: Nice revelation up there, bro. I am wondering, is the required BA amount fixed? Just in case, someone did a miscalculation and funded more than necessary, can the whole sum be transferred to the BA account? Then, possibly, the BA bank in Germany would disburse the monthly breakdown (which will be higher in this case) to the person. |

Elisha111: First of all let me ask you a question which nobody here has actually asked you. That your school in Ghana, is it a university or a polytechnic? If its a university, you are qualified to apply for your masters in Germany with your 70% FCGPA. But if it is a polytechnic, then you are probably not going to get admission for masters in Germany. German schools accept HND for mostly BSc admissions but very rare for Masters admission. Even Nigerian universities sef don't accept HND for masters unless you do Pgd 5 Likes 1 Share |

I will advise everyone to fund their block account this month being July because of this rumour of increase of block account to over 1000 euros. You know what that means? It means that you will pay nearly 500,000 naira additionally if the rumour happens to be true. Note that this rumour was initiated by a legitimate German University. Remember they are updated with news before it even gets to us. And also note the use of their tone MOST LIKELY which means that its MOST LIKELY going to be increased 1 Like 1 Share

Elisha111: You cgpa in German scale is 2.2(if what u stated above is ur Ghana cgpa scale) so u are way qualified as most schools in Germany requires 2.5 downwards... Do well to visit daad.de and search for your course...I believe u will find what suits u. Jabless |

heybaby12: Hello Heybaby12, Regarding the emboldened, i intend doing something similar, only that mine is circumstantial. I do not want the end of 2020's summer intake to meet me in Naija, but based on my preferred school/course criteria (Business-relatedness, English-speaking, B.Sc and summer session availability), only one degree programme meets my need and i have to pay 1,500euros per semester. The other one i have eyes on is a Study semester program (from March to July) in Sustainable Business at Trier. I will apply for both and hope to get admissions But do you think the embassy will give me the usual student visa if i intend going for the latter (i.e the study semester programme)? Just in case that is not possible, i also intend tendering the admission letter for the degree program during my interview and be granted the usual student visa, but when i get into Germany i will go for the Study semester, while applying for better B.Sc degree options to begin in Winter. Will this pose a problem to me later on? And what does the process look like? Also, If i am granted a B.Sc admission for next winter, will i have to return to Naija to process a student visa again? My reasons for this - Like i said earlier, i really want to further my education as from Summer next year - 1,500euros per semester (for the B.Sc degree programme in Summer) is a lot of money. I will have a young family to cater for by then, and need to conserve resources - My preferred courses with more incorporation of IT are available in winter - I gathered it is much easier to get a student job in Summer than in winter. I am in dire straits now and really need advise. MartinLawrenCe:From my view to solve this, the Consolate really need to include an additional space for uploading of AL during booking so that only persons with AL can book. This will surely help cos those that already have AL can apply which should be is idea process. I really feel for those with AL and cant get AD whereas some are just cancelling or keep disturbed and posting about when AL will drop as if they didnt read or know the admission process Best wishes you we all cos it will surely end in Glory A blissful sunday 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by sassy92(f): 12:27pm On Jul 07, 2019 |
Your case is unique and yes, 1500 euros is a lot of money. If you apply for the short study program you won't get student visa. You'll still have to come back to Naija and apply for student visa. In my opinion that's stressful. Here's my advise: if you have a Bsc,apply for Msc in a related course for summer. Then during winter switch to Bsc in your preferred course. I stand to be corrected. odimbannamdi: |

Happy Sunday guys! For the FAM: I got across to a couple of folks at Bayreuth, and these are what they have to say... ### "Hello, On getting a job, I am sure you will find one. But if you are thinking of a Research Assistant job, that will depend on your supervisor if he/she wants to hire you. For the most part, students on an MA program usually have jobs outside the university. The jobs are there, and foreign students are not barred from working. The city of Bayreuth is small, compared to big cities like Berlin, Dortmund, Munich, etc. But it is peaceful and the people are receptive to strangers (for those who are law-abiding). So far, I have not had any cases of harassment from anyone or the Police. The standard of living in the city is also ok, house rent is also cheaper compared to bigger cities. You can acculturate better depending on your own social life. Unlike PhD candidates who are registered for automatic apartment, getting accommodation for MA students can be hard at first. Yet, with time (at least between 1-4weeks), you will surely get it depending on your budget. The other information I could give you is to connect with other Nigerians in the city on MA programs. They are more likely to guide you better on getting accommodation and Jobs in the city, because they went through these experiences. ### On your accommodation, if you have registered with the studentenwerk, then no problem. That is the first step. You are going to get accommodation from them, although it might not be easy to get it on time depending on other factors. If your budget is around 180-240Eur for the apartment, it is ok. You will find one in that range (mind you, be ready for other expenses like water, electricity and internet bills. Depending on what you consumed per month, and the fee you will pay for the apartment, you should not be paying more than 230 in the 'cheapest' flat for students. Again, this amount is subject to your monthly consumption). With regards to the job, as I said earlier, you will get it... Well, I don't follow the discussion on Nairaland. My advice to you is to have an open mind when you arrived in Germany. Even though some of the negative things being said about the country are true, they can also be misleading. ### Bayreuth is a small but nice city. Living standard is cheaper compared to big cities like Munich..." ### Good luck, everyone! 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Gurus and 'bankers' in the house, please is this reasonable, advisable and possible? As Euroes seem to be on the rise at the moment, and tend to be even more expensive around August (from what I've gathered so far), and Dollar on the other hand is steady ATM, Is it possible to fund one's dorm account in dollars and have the bank transfer (or however it is possible) to Fintiba in Euros? Thank you! |
