I've been living in Europe for about 6 years, currently living in Germany for 3 years now. Without any intent to deceive or paint pictures, Obodo Oyibo and its opportunities are blown of out proportion in Nigeria. We the Africans living abroad don't tell our brothers back home the truth about abroad . What they fail to tell you is that even with your foreign earned cert you're placed on the lowest hierarchy of landing a job(professional) exactly below the Indians, most of the jobs they do here you wont even do it in Nigeria with an improve pay, that you end up spending more than half what you earn in monthly bills, they fail to tell you that they save only to return home after one year or two and show off. I wont be fair if i fail to say some Africans are successful here as well but this is just 0.5% or 1% and it comes after many years of hard work.In a nutshell, my argument is if you've got the resources in cash like the OP, be more creative and think of what you could do better in Nigeria, after 5 years with the right mind and discipline you will do better than 70% of Nigerians living abroad in the same period of time . 11 Likes 1 Share |

Makaveli1166: @Makaveli1166 I just want to commend you for your effort to save such amount in Naija Economic climate, well done. Over 15 years ago , I did not have half of that amount but it took me about 3 to 4 years to achieve my plans of travelling out, in the process, I applied for scholarship with application fee which nothing happened till date. I had only SSCE result back then but I eventually got admission into 5 or more countries before I chose 1 and today am very happy, no regrets, it was the best decision at the time, the first year was not smooth ,neither was second year but it was a process to study and know the environment. Bro, don't listen to those who are saying invest in agriculture, am into it bro and for over a year, am still investing. my suggestion Sit down, examine what you want then figure out which country will suit your needs, don't go through travel agent ,they are all scam, I did all travel things myself from admission even up to Visa. Think of countries that you can enter as a student but can change status later, please remove idea of visiting visa, visiting visa does work in the US in the past but I don't know of now. Be aware of scammers sending you pms. All the best. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

EkperemoEgbabi:The guy does not have competence to go into poultry farming hence he would be further advised to consult or get a supposed capable hand to help him with the poultry investment and eventually be scammed under the pretence of investment gone bad, I can say this because I am a victim. So farming in my opinion is a no go area with respect to this case. 1 Like |

You are absolutely right on the bolded. I must say that with a very good skills in IT, there are more opportunities in those places including Estonia. Majority of guys in Estonia are working as a customer service agents in a place like TransferWise, Arvato, and etc. But the point is that, if you really wanna gather reasonable amount of money over short period of time, Estonia is not the best. However, some people cant just do those dirty jobs no matter how much they will get monthly. chaiks: |

Guruindahouse: Well these are very good questions and I will respond accordingly 1. I have worked in Nigeria in good companies and always earned well . But over the years I have also been privileged to travel and experience life outside and to be honest what Nigerians live in Nigeria is not real.life in as much as on would want to delude oneself nothing is working . Nigeria can't even fix roads properly every other year every politician comes in and makes a show of fixing roads, education is dead and detoriated to the extent that employees favor graduates from convenant uni over our great federal universities 2. I have seen the value of the naira slip badly , what one could so with a salary of 700 - 900 two years ago you can't do it anymore , the economy is about to go bankrupt like HRH the emir of Kano has wanted and when that happens the naira will be floated meaning exchange rate would be $1 to N4000 or more , what will be the price of things then ? 3. The government is not focused despite my respect for his Excellency buhari , I am.exteemely disappointed. He has focused on less important things like ruga instead of fixing the corruption that's crippled his government in the first four years ! Yes devuani stole.money but that shouldn't be the excuse why we have thieves and corrupt people looting us dry since 2015 . Education is dead hence why his daughters all.scholl abroad , security is zero hence why all his kids live abroad , how do I have faith in buhari to fix the health sector when he traveled abroad for a flu vaccine whenever he is sick? 4. The at things are going Nigeria will.get worse next four years , I can't see one thing that indicates it's going to get better all I see is misguided comments, actions and confusion 5. Since 2015 I have had friends whom all relocated , i.mean couples whose monthly parking combined revenue was over 3 million then I laughed at them , they know I am a staunch Pro Buhari and Patriot but trully the life they live there is much better now . They were paying incredibly expensive fees for their kids to get good education in British International and Atlantic hall in Nigeria but now their kids get better education at almost nothing there , they spend far far less on feeding , better security, you see what you tax does so why won't you be happy? Let's not even talk of health care . 6. The security situation in Nigeria is maddening and frightening.. it will get worse as the economy dies further 7. Like I said made the decision and left a year ago, I have a job there now and a resident permit , I have a home, in an economy where people are serious, where life works , where I get to the hospital and they don't ask for funds before attending to a human being , where's the police are professional. Racism is less worrisome to.me.after having dealt with TRIBALISM as a Nigerian I pray all those who can.leave Nigeria do so because sadly I have lost faith in Buhari as Painful as it is . So now I returned to Nigeria and I have sold off my remaining things in Abuja and Lagos Will be leaving Nigeria permanently by next weekend, I will.never look back again , the uncertainty here is distracting Life isn't meant to be lived this way I see that now As regards your other question now I am not married yet , truth be told almost all my friends have relocated from Nigeria with their kids Only about two are left here and they are planning to relocate I will still be active here , to at least know when Nigeria finally elects a leader who has an idea how to fix the nation Cheers 16 Likes 1 Share |

moorebucks: With all this, would you consider moving back to Nigeria? In Nigeria, a great number of people earn a meagre salary, and they still have to struggle for good health care, bad roads, no electricity (paying extra on fuel and maintaining a generator), extreme security issues (kidnappings, ritual killings, etc). We don't have a government that is dedicated to developing the country and improving the quality of life. People die indiscriminately due to unmaintained roads, lapses in our health sector and other areas that is probably alien to the country where you are. The average person here, cannot even save that much money to go and show off in the village. 1 Like |
