My own tip for everyone going for the interview is about the "The Handshake" It is a form of test too. Make sure you shake firmly and not last more than 10secs and look into his eyes. That's my 1 cent.

I usually don't fancy typing much here. But i think its time we call a truce to all these arguments about sharing sensitive interview questions.

I understand the submission of those who happily wants to share their sensitive interview questions with others, Truth be told, after my interview, i explained in details to my course mates that would be interviewed the following day, My intention was to make them prepared so that no question would throw them off guard. I wasn't thinking myself to be in a competition with them. If possible i wanted them to perform better than i did. Of course i want the job, but i want us all to get it. (funny ryt? But that was my mindset) Because as colleagues we've been through a lot together. Etc.

HOWEVER i've come to agree with those who are of the submission that we should not share sensitive interview questions till the interview is over. Because just like they have said it is robing Peter to pay Paul. Since this is not a competition between just me and them, I have to give the many other applicants an equal playing ground. I wont allow my good intentions to rob off on others. It is very wrong.

So those that are willing to share in details about your interview experiences, i commend your good intentions, but it is unknowingly having bad effects on other innocent applicants who may not even be privileged to be on this platform.

Let us give peace a chance, since we are praying for this recruitment process to be a merit based one. Let us not by our "good intentions" demerit it for the 'unprivileged' first day candidates.

Thank You.
Wish you all Success.
At the end, its only God's favour that will make the difference.

I only graduated university 2016 at 21 years and to God be the Glory, I have been to more than 10 interviews; gotten 4 offers, rejected 2 and currently on my 3rd job which pays equivalent of more than a dozen of the new minimum wage after deductions. (I currently work in the Humanitarian sector in the North East, so you can confirm those figures).

This brief overview is not to in anyway brag but to say I can rightly claim knowledge and experience of facing interview panels. And also, lest some people try to dismiss my point of view by saying "Oh your pay won't be more than 50k, so you can't compare the competitiveness with NNPC". I haven't been interviewed by NNPC yet but I can say from the CBT exams I sat for and interview experiences shared by others here, it won't come close to what I have faced, though this doesn't necessarily mean I will pass.

Using my personal experiences as a reference, they were multiple times where I went in before other candidates, came out and told them in details the questions I was asked and still got the job. Damn, it is impossible that we give the same answer to situational questions and because I am giving you the expo doesn't automatically mean you would answer better than I did.

And if you think any of the panel members is here trying to decode psuedo names, just to punish or fail candidates, you are dumb dumb.

There's no half way. If you really believe in your faux integrity, you shouldn't be here in the first place to get any heads up in whatever form. Rely on Google, dress and go for the interview. If you have any questions, call the NNPC Helpline.

Y'all will jot down the points of others and then go ahead to lampoon them for sharing those points.

At least, somebody type sense sense. Following this thread has been a lot of fun and education for me.

Some people fail to understand the purpose of a public forum which was meant to be a source of help and information to others. May be you need education on why there are public forums. Public forums serve as a medium where users freely render helps to one another. You might have propensity to question the ethicality of information shared on public forums but that wouldn't change anything about its nature being a medium of help and resources for people.

Now, let me tell you this. If you think people sharing their interview experiences here are in any way reducing their chances or that of other candidates of getting the job and as a result give yourself unnecessary headache and anxiety about it then you need help. As far as this thread is concerned, there have never being anyone who has given full or complete details of the interview questions (is it the repetitive situational, safety, behaviour hints people are citing that is making you feel disadvantaged?).

You think oral examination grading actually reflects true performance despite several factors that can be considered in the grading of each candidate and considering the fact that interviewers will always have their own subjective judgement and evaluation of same candidate? I don't know how you guys arrived at the opinion that this, in any way, reduces your chance of employment even in the face of glaringly several playing factors that can affect the overall evaluation of the interview.

I'll just advice those castigating others for sharing interview tips to stop feeling insecure and understand that this is a public forum and those sharing information here are doing what is expected of a public forum and as a result, they are not doing anything wrong as far as what they are doing does not violate the rules of the forum.

Some even have moral courage to type how they can help people pass school exams but can't do same with an interview because in school exams there's no sort of competition and you are not ruining people chances of having a fair competition with people that deserve the grade.

As some of you have rightly pointed out the usefulness of this to the posterity, it's absurd that you still want to jeopardize their chance to access resourceful information because you feel so arrogant that you think you can dictate when people share the information to others. You expect them to share what they were prepared to share, at a later point in time when they might have forgotten or lost the zeal or even do not even care to share again? You guys just showed your lack of respect to core values that bind the spirit of every member of a public forum which you are a member of. This type of demeanor is so absurd and appalling and everyone that is against what a public forum was initially created for should be ashamed of themselves. Some people need to be reoriented

PSSS: I still regret, to this moment, for not acing up my performance early enough in school by practising past questions because I failed to realise early enough that most exams are just repetition of past questions which, in my opinion, shows how trashy our educational system is.

Please let me ask this question...

Did they stop anyone midway when they asked to tell about yourself?

Cos as I started, 30 sec into talking about myself, I mentioned something and 2 people said Sametime, it's okay.. Did this happen to anyone

One of my interview panelist is a very funny man, Mr Abdullahi, he practically walked me out of the building. I was very surprised at this as I was the first person to be interviewed and my fellow interviewees were waiting for me to share tips as we all had a friendly chat before I was called In. The way Mr Abdullahi walked me out surprised us all and I'm wondering if the stress was for me not to share info with my colleagues.

It's a free world, we all have different opinions and experiences. I hope we all make it.

It is good you mentioned your age so everyone is very clear from the perspective you are talking from. It is obvious you haven't been in competitive and nationwide recruitment like this before. I graduated at age 25 and I started earning even before I finished serving and I can tell you I have not worked for any small company since graduating and I am on my fourth job. The simple thing you young lads are being told here is that what is wrong is wrong! it doesn't matter if you have done the wrong thing several times and succeed but what is wrong is wrong. It is not ethical to share explicitly interview questions to other candidates while the process is still ongoing. This is the simple thing you are being told. It is just not about NNPC recruitment.

I saw your post on a thread for the recently shell recruitment that just begun. You were busy criticising nnpc recruitment and you insinuated that the nnpc recruitment wasn't free and fair.
I hope that you prepare yourself very well for the shell recruitment this time around and not depend on expo. Because if you do, you might not get it. And you will still claim that the process is not transparent! I just want to advice you brother. Hard work pays off often times than not!

Lemme see a "sharer" that will come here to say this process was not free and fair when he or she doesn't get the job...hahahaha

The sad thing is that too many people in this country didn't even get their certificates by merit and have never gotten anything without "help" so they're already used to begging for help everywhere.

The way they were disturbing this thread asking for questions before CBT and again asking for interview questions before the interview is really sad. Can't you think for yourself? Is it cotton wool that is in your brain?

During the CBT, I wrote at 8am and I was shocked when I came out and two young ladies scheduled for 10am came to me asking me to tell them the questions we were asked...so sad. Uncle, Aunty, if you don't know, you don't know...No merit, no brilliance, no hard work...y'all just want to be spoon fed

Morals and ethics have been eroded so much that we think that nothing matters anymore.

I'm not even concerned about your competition doing better than you because in reality, not many 2.1 graduates actually merit their results. When you interact with them, you'll see that they're not smart...sad. Even when they copy answers, they can't still answer correctly when the need arises.

If you have worked hard to get to where you are today and you prepared for the interview and gave it your best shot, just hope for the best. Whether or not you get this job with NNPC, keep doing right...your hard work and integrity will eventually pay off.

PS: I have NEVER cheated on any exam in my life, including asking my neighbour during an exam....NEVER. All I have done is work hard, maintain my integrity and seek God's help. I currently have a very good job as an investment banker and I got it on merit. If I get this, it'll be on merit as well.

Believe what you want, it's your right; but please work hard and smart cause there'll be a time when "help" will not be able to help you...pun intended

A lot of us will be shocked when the successful candidates will be contacted. I'm particularly enjoying d argument on d morality of sharing interview tips. I personally want d tips to keep pouring in as it will be the doom of many unless u are very very smart. A lot of persons will cram answers to d tips they had here and will go in to give robotic answers and almost convulse while doing that (smiling).
I will have a lot to say if and only if I'm successful at the end of this process.

The way they quickly resort to insults tells you about the values they don't have.
