Kidnappings: RCCG Petitions Jonathan…to Stage One Million-man Protest

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, yesterday, commenced a nationwide collection of signature of its members that would partake in a planned one million-man protest rally against the spate of insecurity in Nigeria. The General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who yesterday initiated the move, insisted that it was high time religious organisations raised awareness over the depreciating standard of security in the country, adding “we cannot afford to celebrate, clinking glasses and congratulating each other when a horrendous decimation of the most vulnerable is picking up a pace and our stock of human capital heading for the abyss.
According to a petition sent to President Goodluck Jonathan by the spiritual leader of RCCG, Adeboye, which was equally attached to the registration form that was used, yesterday, to collect signatures of member interested in the protest rally, “we, your subjects and citizens of this nation whose signatures appear here under, greet you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and congratulate you and every Nigerian on this auspicious occasion of the Jubilee of our nation. “As we mark our 50th anniversary as an independent nation, we are faced with the emergence of kidnapping as the latest Nigerian night mare and one of the most serious threats to our common well being, no one is safe.”

One wonder what has became of prominent South Westerners who were so vocal during the Jonathan govt.Where're the "Occupy Nigeria/Save Nigeria Group" protesters (Tinubu, Wole Shoyinka, Tunde Bakare, Lauretta Onuchie, Jide Kosoko/Celebrities, etc)?

So GO Adeboye was also involved then but now hypocritically choose to keep mute? Same with Pastor Kumuyi, VP Osinbajo.Only Paul Eneche, David Oyedepo, Johnson Suleman, Isah Elbuba etc have openly condemn the unending lawlessness of the govt.

They may go hypocritical so as not to offend the oppressive & repressive powers that be.However, they must remember that their sins will surely find them out as posterity has a record for us all.Thank goodness for the internet.

Tinubu, Wole Soyinka, Tunde Bakare etc were so vocal then with that their Save Nigeria's Soul slogan. But they've all turned to deaf and dumb now that Nigeria's Soul needs to be Saved.

our son is now in helm of affair.. And u know tribalism will always overrule whatever morality we yorrobas claim to have.. That's why we carried placards and ground many of our cities at the drop of a hat in the last administration, but keep mum and in most cases try to defend all the glaring litany of atrocities committed by this administration..

Man will always be man... he's an ordinary man. All I see is that Adeboye has lost his sense of morality. Posterity is already judging them...They are crying bitterly inside of them. Osinbajo is just a shameless man..

People do get tired of going under the sun everyday to protest bad governance, only for things to keep getting worse. Some of those names mentioned above have been marching under the sun even before several fellows commenting and insulting them on this forum were born, yet you want them to keep marching as if they are the only living humans out of 200million Nigeria?

Are the youths of Nigeria disabled or paralised or deaf or dumb or dead? Why cant you also go out and march? Or did those names mentioned up there ask or stop anyone from going out?

#LazyNigerianYouths sitting behind phones and laptops waiting for octogenarian grandpas to do everything for them.

They've been marching under the sun before but, now they are tired to march??

Wow! How do you manage to have this high level of hypocrisy deposited only in you?

Sharap there! What have you ever done for Nigeria with your frail muscles and nerves since you were born besides sitting like a cripple behind your keyboard and insulting others who have a history of doing things?

Those people you accuse, it's their prerogative to decide when they speak and when they just get tired and remain quiet. Like I said before, you can call it hypocrisy only if they chose to stop you from speaking or marching out in protest; the last time I checked, they never discouraged anyone from speaking or protesting. You cannot sit in your house and dictate to others when they should or should not protest.

Receive sense!!

The man is only after his stomach.

He is destined for the abyss.

This is why I only take ECWA church and Northern Christians as the only true Christians in Nigeria.

ECWA church is still open in Borno and Yobe in the midst of Islamic lunatics while the Catholic Church and other profiteering Caphias franchise have since abandoned their frolicking business.

God punish all your Idiotic redeemers and end time Annanias churches.

Buhari has settled Adeboye

You dare not see him criticize his government

The whole Nigeria can burn

The whole Redeem camp can turn to Ruga

Adeboye can never say anything or call out Buhari

Those who remembers history recently went to see him with placards.. But the man ran away

Just like Tinubu.... Adeboye cannot critize Buhari
What do they have in common

Selfish interests...

Even at that the Catholic Church in Borno is still open.

Do you even understand the definition of worse even NIGERDelta was never this peaceful under Ebele Jonathan.

As you have chosen to dedicate your life solely to lies some of us have vouched to keep busting your lies till die never to rise again.
