I also agree that there should be another competing mobile OS asides android and IOS but this isn't it.
this Huawei OS is an android fork, so it essentially is android.

#1, Faster is relative on the phone RAM specs and processor type. #2, Huawei, Xiaomi, Oneplus etc all run android, and no way they are faster than iPhones of similar specs because iPhones have seamless interface integration between software and hardware, because both are made by Apple. The only Android phones that achieve such seamless integration of software and hardware are the Google pixel and Nexus androids like Nexus 6P etc, for the same reason software and hardware are both Google made (or made for Google, as in Nexus).
