Jonraid: Nigeria has 6 seaports but only one was mentioned. If we add the other 5, should be number 1 or 2 behind South Africa. Unlike, Kenya that has one serving 5 countries. 2 Likes 1 Share |

NairobiWalker: Mombasa's total annual cargo tonnage is 22 million. am I right? How can that be 6 times of what even one seaport in Nigeria handles? 2 Likes

Jonraid: So, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Ivory coast, Senegal etc seaports should not be taken into account? Mombasa port has to rely on 5 other neighbouring countries to survive else it would be in comatose by now. 2 Likes 1 Share |

What of your 200 million people ? Your ports must be handling more rice bags propping up those little numbers that you are staging! We are around 45-50 m! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-14/usda-sees-nigeria-rice-imports-increasing-to-3-4m-tons-in-2019 forgiveness: 2 Likes |

forgiveness: No you're wrong , Kenya has other several ports such as Malindi, Kilifi, Kilindini Harbour, Kiunga, Kipevu Oil Terminal, Kiunga, Funzi and among others but Mombasa port is just the main port and the gateway to east and central Africa beating all west African ports in terms of performance. Besides, Kenya's Lamu port that is purported to be Africa's largest port upon completion is already taking shape and its phase one is 60% complete. TayserMahri once posted the progress of Lamu port in this thread, you can peruse back and check if you care to do so Jonraid told you very well you guys should shut up in terms of ports. 3 Likes 1 Share |
