What is fluid about Nigeria?

We had some nice interchanging movements in the game.

I do not know if the coach makes the decision about that but you are right, that's something they should work on badly. Musa on the other side would have run that guy ragged and his final balls would have been a lot better, but in this case he had to cut back time and time again spoiling his flow, maybe they should really switch their wings and let that Musa guy do his thing

I agree with you 100%. Not me say something unpopular, Musa should start ahead of Chuks on the right and if Chuks can't play on the left or switch wings, someone else should start on our left.

Nawa oh. Recall that Ndidi almost scored from one of Musa's corner kicks? It wasn't as if our corners had been poor all along. So he brought him in to come and take a corner kick? Lol

i thought u will say Ndidi slept off during that pass

As much as I hate to admit it but rohr jst delivered a tactical masterclass tonight, from d starting lineup to d gameplay of d boys, he devised a system DAT enabled us to shut down south africa, and limited dem to aimless shots...d likes of tau, mothiba and d rest looked lost and confused on d pitch today, even wen we scored ourselves he made a deciave change where many of us questioned and at d end it brought d goal...kudos rohr and d entire super eagles

It wasn't a good switch. We needed someone to make runs in behind something Moses Simon doesn't do.

The South Africans attacked through the right wing because they noticed Ahmed was not helping Collins, and they eventually succeeded in getting a goal as a result of that.

What Rohr needed to do was to bring in a player to support Collins defensively and also attack though he ought to have done that before the equaliser hence the need to introduce Simon.

I don't think Onyekuru was the best option to nullify the South African's tactics of getting the ball through Collin's wing.

You can see after Simon Moses came on he did the job very well and there was balance.

It was all about tactics.

At a stage Samu was missing and Musa did all the running.

Chukwueze was ever present. Please understand that he does what he can with passes from the central midfielders.

The person that got missing in the 2nd half is Iwobi. Even Musa was ever present and gave the SA full back a lot of problems.

Ighalo was missing . I don't know if it was the defence or he didn't make himself open.

All our wingers (Musa, Moses and even Chukwueze) are poor crossers.

Musa provided our best attacking threats. He believed so much in his speed and it worked well. But his final ball was poor. I will still rate him 6/10.
I thought passing and crosses were wired into the DNA of the SE. Imagine our wingers cant cross!

Kudos to Rohr and the coaching crew. By far braver than we have been for a while. I hope we see the joy and reward for bravery and stick to it.

Rohr needs to tidy Musa up. He is a big draw back to our display. Simon Moses brought freshness with his tricks but lacks pace. Still hope we get room to see Onyekuru there.

Throwaway salute to Omeruo the defensive General. He has grown into a leader.

Jamilu Collins marking is off the chain. Nice overlapping but needs to work on his gaps.

Nice work rate from Musa.

You are right.

It is really painful.

But I think Musa delivered 1 or 2 quality crosses today but Ighalo didn't position himself well

To me, Musa's case was pretty obvious, if he had the opportunities he had on the right wing, he would have taken some shorts and bothered the keeper if he doesn't score and I believe his final balls or crosses would have been better. Don't forget musa was at some point record highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league. he actually started off as a striker and one thing I know is, he can shoot with his right foot but the left one. i don over talk am ready. Anyway the end justifies the means, we won and that's all that matters.
