What is fluid about Nigeria?

To me, we played better today than in the game against Cameroon. Ighalo not showing up was the drawback.

Ighalo bleeped up. He was very poor and lacked pace to press. Iwobi, chukwueze and Collins were awesome. The revelation in the tournament is awaziem. The Bobo have really impressed me
darkelf:

You are right.

It is really painful.

But I think Musa delivered 1 or 2 quality crosses today but Ighalo didn't position himself well

No Sir, Musa did that was why his poor decision making was easily noted. Almost 80% of our attack went through his flank not the other side

i will wait for a professional body to nominate their man of the match ,,, but i doubt if its not Chukwueze

Rohr has stepped up....his substitutions are becoming very apt, timely and effective unlike that that world cup late sub...

Moses Simon is better than Musa in taking corner kicks...twice we have scored from his corner kicks in this AFCON

I was thinking that Ndidi would do a job on Tao...lo and behold our new bundesliga 1 entrant Collins step in....

Yet again...we have not really switched on the full throttle in this AFCON...We stepped up a bit against Cameroon but not yet...

Congratulations...Rohr is building a solid team...our bench is deep, full of depth and deeply deep grin grin

To me, Musa's case was pretty obvious, if he had the opportunities he had on the right wing, he would have taken some shorts and bothered the keeper if he doesn't score and I believe his final balls or crosses would have been better. Don't forget musa was at some point record highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league. he actually started off as a striker and one thing I know is, he can shoot with his right foot but the left one. i don over talk am ready. Anyway the end justifies the means, we won and that's all that matters.
Truly we won and I'm happy that at least we shut those loudmouths but something in me wasn't satisfied. We could have wrapped up the game long before they equalized.

Nigeria meets the winner between Algeria and CIV im the semis.

I prefer to meet CIV. I fear North Africans.

the Algerian team is too complete , they play very compact football from the backline to the attack ... even their Coach is always on his feet ....

forgiveness:

The South Africans attacked through the right flank and succeeded in getting a goal as a result of that.

What Rohr needed to do was to bring in a player to support Collins defensive and also attack. He ought to have done that before the equaliser hence the need to introduce Simon.

I don't think Onyekuru was the best option to nullify South Africa's tactics of getting the ball through Collin's wing.

You can see after Simon Moses came on he did the job very well.

It was all about tactics.

Guy you have football sense too much.

Rohr got his tactical set up right today. SA were at the risk of going a man down. I didn't fancy the sub of Moses at first but on a second thought SA were attacking down the right with increased intensity so he needed to stifle them. SA could have easily gone a man down if the game extended to extra time.
The team needs to be more clinical in this crucial stage. congrats Naija

Nobody is a prophet of doom or crybaby, we all want the team to win. Most of us here cried and pleaded for Chukwueze to start ahead of Simon, now we all see the rewards.

Everyone here is for victory. We just want the gaffer to use the right pegs at the right time like he did today.

They may have been a test but you see:

If you test someone who scores straight A's in Senior school with a common entrance paper. No matter how hard it is, it's expected that he will breeze through.

That's what happened between Super Eagles and South Africa today.

We won and that is the most important thing. Now a question for the house.
What if Rohr had switched our wingers?

you don't switch wingers if the defenders are not giving the problem , you only do that when they re unable to perform their primary assignment ... the defence of SA was compact in the middle .
