They didn't get a goal from Collin's wing, it was a free-kick swung in, it wasn't the fault of Collins that we got a call against us. Collins was solid all through. Musa helped out a lot and the goal wasn't from any imbalance.

All in all, it was a good game.
forgiveness:

The South Africans attacked through the right wing because they noticed Ahmed was not helping Collins and succeeded in getting a goal as a result of that.

What Rohr needed to do was to bring in a player to support Collins defensively and also attack though he ought to have done that before the equaliser hence the need to introduce Simon.

I don't think Onyekuru was the best option to nullify the South African's tactics of getting the ball through Collin's wing.

You can see after Simon Moses came on he did the job very well and there was balance.

It was all about tactics.

There are 170 million Nigerians living. Must Oyibo think for you ,black man ?

England, Spain, US etc have at one time or smother use Foreigners as their coach? Does that make them less indigenous? Back man look beyond oyinbo as your problem.

Asians are making mark globally without hatred for whites.

Excellent match, Super Eagles' best display in this tournament. All our players were fantastic, every department was on point, the match sweet me die...I could not notice any South African player; at a point, I was looking for Tau. They all were simply overshadowed. We could have scored more, we proved that we're not mates.

Congratulations to every SE player, to the coaching crew. South Africans have been kept shut!

The man is really humble. He always explains his decisions.

Some of his speeches are infuriating though, like playing down our chances and the latest one on Onyekuru.

that is my grouse against the man, he seems not to understand our giant status as african soccer power house. He's awashed with talents at his disposal but he keep talking down the potentials of our boys. I hope with his experience now at afcon, he is beginning to see things more clearly

The win was good, but the team really needs to focus on improving the midfield and possesing the ball. So many bad touches and dispossesions/losing the ball.

Anyway, we're on to the semi-finals.

Rohr just need tactical assistants who can read the game better. Honestly, I was also rooting for his exit but having excellent assistants is a better and more humane strategy. Remember he built this team.

You are right. The guy is an excellent game planner, so having someone whose game reading ability is excellent and unimpeachable will make the technical team top notch and might take Nigeria to the world's top 10.

well IMO ... I don't think Musa ' s crosses were bad as we portrayed. It is just that ighalo lacks proper awareness or maybe he was not expecting musa to cross the ball.

One way or the other - we needed the balance of having one wide forward and a winger if we wanted to eventually win.
The Balogun sub should've been for covering whatever wing that was leaking.
If we had gone to extra time - I honestly don't think we would've scored(maybe from open play)

Balogun sub was to waste time and to help the back four. Your saw the giant they brought in.

Simon isn't better than Musa
Maybe better crossing
But overall simon isn't even a contender for lwf position .. not at all
Musa speed is fucking important with this our style of play
Simon couldn't get past someone a tired Musa humiliated time and time again..

And Musa is still the best lwf we have right now..

The foul that led to the freekick was as a result of the pressure from that side. I never said Collins wasn't solid.

Now u understand why some of us will always believe in this team no matter how shaky it may be at the start. Nigeria will always be Nigeria. We love playing in the AFCON cheesy

If Rohr must play Musa, he needs to tell Musa to rely more on his run with balls and less on passing. I can see why he chose to dash past the Ireland keeper instead of passing.

Musa needs to make runs towards goal and use his shooting power.

don't you guys think he was playing to the coach's instructions? the musa I know can even dribble the entire defence to score like he did against iceland at the world cup. In the first half he had such a chance but he still choose to pass to a chukwueze that was even very far from the box.

me think he was playing to instructions and he didn't want to strain his relationship with the coach

Watching Rohr barking at the sidelines showed he is a man that listens. That was what Odegbami asked for, even though I do not feel it is that important, Rohr was able to listen and adapt.

I hope our indigenous talented coaches like Siasia, Amunike and Oliseh can learn some humility from Rohr.
I noticed this too. It's obvious the man is in touch with feeling back in Nigeria. When I saw chukwueze in the starting line-up, I said wow, this man fear Nigerians mouth small

I repeat they are not the root. We are.

For instance, they may have started slave trade but we enjoyed it and wished it didn't end. Our people were actively involved.

Companies owned by whites treats their employees better. The list is endless. Let's stop here less we derail this thread.

Something tells me that Rohr would resign after this AFCON even if we win the trophy. He would rather bow out when the ovation is loudest.

There was fouls from all side, remember the foul in the first half against us? (Caused by Etebo just close to the penalty box). So the foul that led to the goal wasn't the only foul recorded against us close to the penalty box.
