Lol, if you study well you will pass, I agree. If you work hard, you will succeed, I also agree 100%. But let me ask you this, if the free oxygen you breathe is suddenly cut off, will you be able to still study or work hard?

Ask the so called brilliant atheist to create the sun and moon, I will humbly drop my faith and follow them.

Lol. It is also like saying the born again believers should pray the sun and moon too into existence. If what you wrote makes sense to you, then I give up. shocked

So you really don't know that the indigenous people of FCT also have their own slot?

I am curious to know the quality of grace Dangote, Mark Zuckerberg, Wozniak, PMB and Bill gates have. cheesy

Hard work is definately not enough, it would be silly to think so. Events are stochastic in nature. Time and chance influences the outcome of events and not wishful thinking hiding under the facade of grace grin
Secondly, is my comment on this section proof that I applied the job or took the CBT with you guys as purported by you? Don't you think it is a fallacy of false assumption?

Of all you wrote, the bolded is perhaps funniest and most disappointing.

LMAO. Trust me, your first class degree is applaudable but sadly disappointing... judging by on your reasoning on this subject though. Secondly, how has your first class improved humanity? What break through have you made or what contribution to the society has your calibrated potential made? Boast with your degree only when it has made an impact. You need exposure beyond the shores of Africa.

I am sorry to have disappointed you, however I don't need my first class to improve humanity; the quest to improve humanity comes from the heart otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned the likes of PMB, Dangote etc. in the mix. I really don't have to justify how I have improved humanity in my own little way to you, it is not worth the effort.

Secondly, I didn't boast about my degree, I just made a point to dismiss a particular perception that such opinions as mine usually propagate. (viz. Olodo will always depend on God's miracles.

If you don't believe in grace but attribute events to time and chance, I dare ask you, how did time come about? There is a divine template that was used to discover time. P.m., A.m. and seasons were based on nature. Nature didn't happen by chance, it was all well thought out. If it was a chance thing, the sun wouldn't have been at a specific distance from earth, it would have just moved closer and scorched us to death. Please what is suspending the earth and other planets? They should be dropping like balls.

Humans can only seek to try and understand what a superior being has designed but just because we have attained a certain milestone of understanding does not make us intelligent.

N.B. you accuse me of assumption but you are also guilty of assuming that I haven't been outside the shores of Africa simply because I believe in grace. My level of reasoning may not be as excellent as yours purportedly but I choose to stand with the belief that there is a higher being because it has worked for me , you stick to what works for you too. However, when you find out that it is no longer working for you, you can try reaching out to that superior being up there in heaven, His name is God Almighty, a trial will convince you, I am a living witness.

I used to think like you, applying logic to explain everything. Yes your assertion makes so much sense ordinarily. However, you fail to understand that for the fact that everyone prays to God, only God sees their heart and know the genuine people. Secondly, out of the few genuine people, some carry the grace of working in NNPC while others have been destined to bring glory to His name in other spheres of life. Not that I am discrediting hardwork, but don't make the mistake of thinking that only your hardwork got you through because the "equation of prayers" has been balanced as everybody prays. If it is by hard work only, there are some people much smarter than you who didn't make it past the CBT for reasons as ridiculous as network failure.

Be guided, God is not man that you can use logic to decipher His ways, he can choose to give a madman a position you have worked and prepared so hard for just to make you understand that it is not by your power.

N.B. Just in case you want to profile me as one of those slackers who think God will come down and write exams for them, you will be wrong, I am a first class product but I always dedicate it to the One who made it possible. God bless you.

If you don't believe in grace but attribute events to time and chance, I dare ask you, how did time come about? There is a divine template that was used to discover time. P.m., A.m. and seasons were based on nature. Nature didn't happen by chance, it was all well thought out.

Do you even know what time is? Does time in its true meaning exist? Is time not just a reference point from which events are being distinguished? Has anyone on earth successfully defined the concept known as 'time'? Can it's starting point be located? Does God dwell in time or outside time based on your logic? Trying to know how time came to be is like trying to located the start and end point of a circle.

If it was a chance thing, the sun wouldn't have been at a specific distance from earth, it would have just moved closer and scorched us to death.

Please what is suspending the earth and other planets? They should be dropping like balls

shocked Study physics, una no go gree. Even if you are not scientist by training, at least acquaint yourself with the basics of classical mechanics to avoid public disgrace. Have you heard of gravitation or the bending of the space-time continuum? Is the magnetude of gravitational field constant across the universe? Dropping like balls

Humans can only seek to try and understand what a superior being has designed but just because we have attained a certain milestone of understanding does not make us intelligent
.
Intelligence is relative. Are you saying everyone on earth is stupeed? cheesy
How could one determine the path a network of random events will take place? There are things "God controls" and there are things that are left to chance. Get this right. For example, an engineer might design a vessel with a precise amount of gas volume and pressure. But the discrete internoleculer intermolecular interactions are stochastic and the engineer has no control over their individual movements/collision.

N.B. you accuse me of assumption but you are also guilty of assuming that I haven't been outside the shores of Africa simply because I believe in grace. My level of reasoning may not be as excellent as yours purportedly but I choose to stand with the belief that there is a higher being because it has worked for me , you stick to what works for you too. The FCT is actually treated as a state in Nigeria when it comes to issues like this. Whenever u r applying for anything and ur state of origin is required, u will also c FCT on the list. To buttress my point check the recent list of PTDF scholars, you will c FCT there as a state.
Though it is not a state there r indigenous ppu from there.

Oga,

There are 36 states in Nigeria officially, FCT is not counted as part of it and that's why instead of a governor, u have FCT Minister. They need to be accord state status to elect a governor.

However, when you add FCT it becomes 37.

Your calculation up there should be 37x30

Kai..........

So If I add FCT it becomes 37 states? Wow I just learnt something new . grin

On the issue of prayers, I would suggest you hear the stories of some of the very successful people around the world. A lot of them would tell you there is that element of Luck, Grace and above all God. Tony Elumelu of the UBA group made a very lengthy post about this issue of ''luck'' on facebook recently. He stated how he got the chance to enter into All states trust bank and having the opportunity to have good superiors who recognized and recommended him to the top. Even President Trump, long before he became president has attested to ''luck'' and God in his successful life.

Going by how this interview has panned out, everyone should rely less on their qualifications, experience and performance at the panel interview. Pray you have luck, grace and God on your side. God said he would bless whom he wants to bless. It is not for anyone to determine that.

The bottom line is that you should work hard but pray for God's grace for your hard work to yield the desired results. For those that are Christians, you can relate to the story of Peter and John in the bible. These two men worked hard all night trying to fish. They believed they had it altogether to make a good catch but unfortunately, all night, they caught nothing. But when Jesus gave them a word, they caught so much that they could,'t haul ashore.

For the young man who is a first class grad and still puts all his hopes and efforts into God's hands, Please, continue to do so. Your type do go far in life to achieve a lot of success. Not everything in life can be explained by logic of human wisdom. This fact has been proven times without number.

Work hard and pray for God's grace.
