Luckyroro:the Algeria fans will say the opposite too. But I have watched like two of their games in this tournament and I must say their team cohesion is a 100%. |

Earthquake2: When we played them, they were favorites to beat us. They had gone about 18 months unbeaten and were coming off a great WC run. A lot of Nigerians predicted doom. How was Elderson going to handle Mahrez? etc.. 10 Likes |

tbaba1234:as in No matter how tall a child grows, e no fit pass im papa. I would rather Algeria that CIV, even if CIV has a leaky defense. I prefer familiar foes. We sabi their ways, and we go fit give them bumper to bumper, as e dey hot The match will be bloody sha, cuz Algeria will come in with vengeance on their minds, and we will come in to remind them who their sugar daddy is 7 Likes |

Why's Pepe not playing? This is the best time to bring him in. Have him run at tired defenders. |

tbaba1234:Nigeria seem to do well against teams with European kind of flair. The Algerian defence is also suspect. I noticed this when they played Guinea. Their defence can't cope with our wingers pace, they will concede well against us if we are very clinical like we were during our wcq game with them in uyo However our midfield must maintain their discipline and shape |

safarigirl: Yea. Let's also not forget that prior to when we beat Algeria 3:1, they were on a 12 or 13 match unbeaten run and were ranked 1st in Africa by FIFA. I keep saying it that the outcome of any match depends on the opposition irrespective of form 8 Likes 1 Share |

You people saying you prefer Algeria, where is your optimism? Granted they are familiar foes but we don't get to decide who goes thru. True champions are winners regardless of foe. |

Algeria may go home, that penalty miss may hunt them. This is the problem with teams with 100% record before the knockout stage. They have no benefit of a reality check on time before they go far in a competition 10 Likes |

Earthquake2:The unpredictability of the eagles is what make them a very dangerous side to other teams. If that etebo freekick had entered against SA, those guys would have collected like 4 goals before the VAR show. Even the Cameroonians will be wondering what hit them after going ahead. After winning afcon in 2017 the were so confident to beat us in the wcq but what happened they were piped 4-nil in uyo to their amazement. On the flip side the eagles are unpredictable negatively, they can make teams like Madagascar and Seychelles look like Brazil and Argentina and lose scandalously. That's the Super Eagles, my wife usually says they are like Chelsea, they can lose scandalously to Burnley this weekend at home and beat man city in their backyard the following weekend. tbaba1234: That is very debatable, colonialism was inevitable because because we were there for the picking. No sentiments, USA expanded and decimated the native Americans, took lots of Mexican lands. With their doctrine of manifest destiny, they were gunning for the vast lands of Canada. That is why Canadians distrust america. If you don't pick, you would be picked, that was the rule. The Zulus did theirs to other southern African tribes, the fulanis with the jihad, the Benin kingdom expanded on conquest bestowed their style of govt on others, the vikings destroyed coastal western Europe and installed themselves as kings of France and england, the Greek, Roman Babylonian, mongol, Indian mughals emperors turned India royalty islamic, the druids were wiped out in england etc, that is the rule of the game. People see colour in colonialism, I just see man's domination of his fellowman. Egyptians enslaved the hebrews, Rome enslaved the known world to achieve pax romana. What we should ask is what made African tribes easy picking by all the western nations. Simple fact we could not match them...in trades, in weapons, in sophistication, in knowledge etc...we were f.cking underdeveloped simple 9 Likes 4 Shares |

rabzy: We were underdeveloped before the taking and have remained so. Blaming others for failure it brought upon itself. Slave trade ended a long time ago yet our leaders are still enslaved. We loot here and hide our loot there to further improve their economy. I didn't want to join this argument again but for this beautiful post. |
