Sorry dude, it is robbery to give what belongs to God to beggars. God said the tithe belongs to him. That's why he said you are robbing him when you fail to pay it. Tithe belongs to God's house and should not be used for any other purpose except paying it in his house.

If God wanted you to give it to beggars yourself, he would have stated it. He wants you to bring it to his house which has the right to now give a portion to the needy. is this not the same thing Jesus reprimanded the Jews about refusing to help rescue their neighbour from the well because they want to keep the Sabbath day holy . And I know that even if my church will decide to assist the sick and hungry man, it will be after lengthy protocols and documentation which might be late for the poor man. The bible says whatever we do, we should do it out of faith or it is sin. This is what I believe I will do in faith.
I will settle the tithe to the church later.

You sound as if giving to the poor is giving to Satan. when you give to the poor you are also giving to God. there is also a blessing when you give to the poor.

No one has said you shouldn't give to the poor. What you shouldn't do is give what belongs to God to the poor. If you really feel you need to help the poor, look for another money for him.

And do you think God can't send someone else who isn't cash trapped to help the beggar?

It's the same thing as when you have an appointment with the president which will change your life. On stepping out of your house on your way to the appointment, a neighbor beckons on you to help him push his dead car. Will it be wise for you to wait to help him when it might make you arrive late to where you are going? A wise man will turn him down politely with reason. Guess what? Someone else will show up to help him. But you might never get that life changing opportunity to see the president again.

There's time for everything. That moment was time for you to give to God, just as you had time to spend the rest earnings on those other things you spent them on. If the beggar didn't show up when you has lots to spare, why did he now show up when it's only God's money you have with you? That's temptation.

The moment you do that, the beggar becomes your God.

Malachi 3:10 clearly tells us to bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may meat in God's house.
Is the beggar equivalent to Gods storehouse or house? I doubt that.

Tithe is just 10%. Give another 10% to the beggar.

When you sow a seed into the life of the needy, helpless in the society, categorically you have engaged in Charity or alms giving and there is definitely a blessing attached to it.

But if you want to rise, you sow upward and not downwards. If you want to get to that wealthy place you sow upwards to someone higher than you and that is GOD. Just as Abraham sowed a one - tenth to Melchizedek the prince of Salem and that's Tithe giving.
