Please stop adding fuel to the fire.. Forget this and move on to promote more meaningful discussions on the thread on more important matters! NoHatred: All those arguing that there is no God are inexcusable. I am glad that they are science oriented. Scientists believe so much in the principle of cause and effect. That is, for every effect there must be a cause.
Imagine you're walking in a desert. Then you come across a very beautiful building. It has lots of nice furniture and elegantly decorated. What would be your conclusion? That it came by chance? No. Someone must have put it in place. Remember, for every effect there is a cause.
In the same vain, the universe and everything in it couldn't have come by chance. Think about how organised the universe is. Think about the sun that is just in the right distance from the earth. If it were closer, the whole earth will burn and if it were farther we will freeze. What about the seasons? When it's time for the rainy season, it appears and when it's time for dry season, no one reminds it. In fact, the organization of the universe is too glaring for any reasonable and sincere mind to conclude that it came by chance. There must be a cause. There must be a super intelligent mind behind this masterpiece. Arguing that everything in the universe happens by chance negates the principle of cause and effect.
Indeed, the universe must have been created by a super super intelligent being. That is the Almighty God. Well, some may argue that since they can't see God, they don't believe in his existence. They are still inexcusable. Do you believe there is something called wind? Why do believe it exists? Undoubtedly because of the effect it produces. You can feel it. You can see its impact on object. So the fact that you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exit. Similarly, you can't claim that God doesn't exist just because you can't see him. His wondrous works abound all over the universe and anyone who doesn't believe in his existence is inexcusably.

I rarely comment on here... but I would like to plead with you all not to derail this NNPC thread with whether there is a god or not!
I know many who are going through this recruitment process -- and we rely on this thread for info -- but we do not comment. Imagine if we all comment with all type of jargons on here, then most of us will miss out on important information.
With you all lampooning those sharing important tips - and question hints, I want you all to understand something... Yes, this is a competition, but we are different. I was feeling confident myself on the day of the interview -- I was armed with tips and hints that I have picked up on here.
While waiting to be called into the interview room, I witnessed two great guys visibly shake before they went into the rooms. I saw peeps who were jovial while waiting came out with a straight face. I particularly saw a guy whose experience on his CV was outstanding -- as in, we were literally congratulating him that he was going to ace this interview -- but what happened? First, his CV was badly arranged and worded -- and he did the unthinkable, he had his CV printed on both faces of the A4 paper. We could have cursed him out while pointing it out to him, but we encouraged him instead. When he came out, he couldn't manage to smile. When he eventually flashed his teeth, it was a grin.
That was when I started to be self-conscious -- then I lost my self-balance. I started shaking. Wow!
I received greeting/sitting/appearance hints from the guy ushering us in -- and he was open enough to say many have failed on that. DO NOT SIT BEFORE BEEN OFFERED A SEAT. BUTTON YOUR SUIT WHEN YOU GO IN, UNBUTTON WHEN YOU SIT DOWN.
I did as I was told, started well -- until I got the technical question that was related to my university course of study -- I couldn't answer the first, the guy was cool enough to assist me, and when we both concluded I have no idea, he beckoned on the other panelists (they were all four) that could he ask me another question, and they replied YES. And then he asked a newer question, which I answered. But he wasn't convinced enough - as though he wanted a textbook definition of that. We want back and forth over it, and then we moved on. Then came the first situational judgment question, and the technical guy urged me to speak deeply again. Before I got the second situational question, I was urged to go deeply and all. So I did, and I was told I was spending too much time talking. The 5th and last question been on safety. He said give me 4 tips. Once I read out the 4 tips, he said I should give him one more, that I should make it 5. I lost my balance again for the second time on that day -- I couldn't say a thing till they all muttered TIME UP, and they asked if I have a question. I did ask, and they were taken aback -- like there was no answer for me, and the Chief panelist threw the question back to me, and it looked as if I had been trapped. Wow, I lost my balance again! Till I left the room!
So, getting questions tips does not do much if you will not carry yourself well. In fact, you do not even know what the interviewers are looking at.
So, let people share if they wish - it doesn't affect their chances. Federal character will be employed in choosing the successful candidates -- do not disregard the man-know-man connections that will make it happen for some persons too.
Alas, a little bit of luck & grace is needed. Let's hope for the best! I can't wait for the testimonies that would be shared on this platform when many of us are sent the APL! Good luck! 24 Likes |

My brother I share in your experience too, sharing questions here is not a criteria you'd answer yours well or the questions will be similar... After asking me to introduce my self, the next three questions were never related to my discipline (I studied an environmental course) and they were asking stuffs on marketing. Areas that I was really prepared to make my case (why should we hire you, what value can you add to NNPC, why do you want to work with NNPC and the likes) never came. Maybe cos of the packaging of my CV... Next were situational, behavioral and safety questions which I answered to my best.. Then I asked questions which they all answered. In all, it's God's grace that will speak for us all.. My prayers are for merit to also count in this stage of the recruitment process. 8 Likes |

Quote one post that was an argument for or against the existence of God pls. During my interview, when it was the time to ask questions, I asked if the recruitment is going to be based on the Federal Character principle, the Chief Panelist, an Igbo man replied "why are you asking?".....I said to myself, no be una say make we ask questions ni? He went to say that every State will be well represented and concluded by saying "we know where this oil is coming from" at that point, I just swallowed spit because there were 2 other Hausa men on the panel, I looked at them and their countenance weren't too pleasing, the room all of a sudden went quiet, I could hear the sounds of the clock tick, I just wanted to leave immediately, "I shouldn't have asked any question" I murmured to myself as I took my leave.
