Arsenal's pre-season has already began under a cloud following the rejection to participate in the US tour by club captain, Laurent Koscielny. And matters seem to have gotten even worse, according to the Metro.

This is after Xavier Amaechi has deleted every trace of the club from his social media accounts after being left out of the travelling squad by Unai Emery.

The 18-year-old impressed for Freddie Ljungberg's Under-23 side last season and with the Swede having recently been promoted to Emery's first team coaching set-up, Arsenal's promising crop of youngsters are expected to be given chances to stake claims for first-team opportunities.

Emery included the likes of Reiss Nelson, who spent last season on loan at Hoffenheim, Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Tyreece John-Jules in the touring party ahead of matches against Colorado Rapids, Fiorentina, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Amaechi, however, has been left behind and will remain with the U23 side now coached by Steve Bould.

I am a Bonafide Nigerian and I love the Super Eagles

In the beginning, I had doubts about this team but they are gradually winning me over with their attitude on the field of play

But I know one fact; everybody cannot say positive things about the Super Eagles all the time. We are created different and we think differently.

Hence, it only makes sense to respect the opinions of others no matter how silly they may sound.

Granted, we give each other a hard time here by yabbing and making jokes about our wrong predictions and what nots but this should never degenerate to insults.

Some of us here have a hard time swallowing the opinions of others and cannot make intelligent arguments without insulting the other party. Times without number, I have called out some of these people. While some apologize and retract their statements, others remain adamant and choose not to admit their wrongs.

I want to believe we all possess a level of intelligence to converse on this thread and what differentiates the mature minds from kids is the ability to question opposing arguments with facts and without rude remarks.

I am calling on us especially those of us who are elders to act accordingly:

You don't have to reply every rude remark.

You are not in control of the other persons thoughts and opinions; positive and negative

I also want to believe that you (the agggressor) don't feed the aggressee neither do you clothe or pay his house rent grin grin. So the person can oppose you when he wants albeit intelligently.

Stay blessed and Stay happy y'all

Up Super Eagles, Go for glory

Good one from you.

No hard feelings. I know all those pessimism were as a result of fear and lack of trust in the team.

Not as if we the optimists were not also afraid. We were. But rather than dwell so much on the team's weaknesses we chose to dwell more on our strength.

When I tell una say no be today AFCON start that we have seen a lot not to write any team off.

Now that you have turned a new leaf just remain positive. By God's Grace we will celebrate this title win in Grand Style.

In other News, 2019 NAIRALAND NIGERIAN FOOTBALLERS AWARDS nominations is a couple of months away. Hope we are observing? grin

Sofiane Feghouli and Youcef Atal had to be substituted against the Elephants after they suffered injuries.

Algeria without two of their key players.

You, What do you know?

Do you know how many English players that are languishing in the academy or lower leagues despite being English?

The English has still produced better than than Nigeria has ever produced in her history even till date, they have better players than us.

So, be humble.

Chai was that why Solanke is still a bench warmer/youth team player till morrow, while Origi already is a gold medalist? Bhuhahahaha

China was united indeed. Communists vs imperialists. Dude,I'm done arguing. At your age, you know if you keep blaming everyone for your own woes, you'll not get anything done till you cease to exist. Even though Africa was set up to fail, the North African countries are still mile better off compared to other African countries. Goes to show you that we have a problem. I'm done with this argument!

When did communism come to existence?

China was already a unified state long before communism came into existence. You don't know anything.

Where is Libya and Sudan?

Besides, the remaining successful North African countries are dominated by one ethnic group and one religion, and some of them have been existing as a country before colonialism.

But Nigeria as a case study was the creation of white man.

How is that same?

I said earlier that this is how destiny happens....your opponents eliminating themselves without knowing that they are helping you...

Madagascar beat us....we evaded meeting Senegal in second round
South Africa beat Egypt....we started getting favourable time[8pm reserved for Egypt]
Now a solid Atal, and possible star midfielder Feghouli knocked off by Ivory Coast for us..

Destiny beckons

It is normal where there is rivalry. No one wants to be upstaged. Ghanaians will root for Algeria just as Egypt will root for Nigeria. It is hard to wish a rival good.

Egypt versus Ghana finals in 2008, there was a wild jubilation where I saw the match, somewhere in Abia State. I particularly was so happy when Gedo scored that goal

2010 not 2008, 2008 was against Cameroon

Warming bench were? At Liverpool? It is understandable.

At Bournemouth, he never warm bench.

As a youth player, because England has too many good players that even their U21 team can easily make the staring 11 of our national team. Gbam!

Stylishly digressing from the point.

U are the one straggling. U said he wasn't a bench warmer, then I asked u to do the honorable thing bu proving it.

He has played only 10times in as many games for Bournemouth, starting a paltry 2, out of the two games he started, he completed only one.

In the other 8 matches, he came in as a late sub, probably a ploy by the coach to kill time grin

I hope these starts really do qualify him as a seasoned player as u alluded bhuhahahaha lwkmd oo

Feghouli might still play. It's not yet super certain he will miss out but it is a possibility.
But yes, Atal is ruled out completely.

I do think it is certain, he (Feghouli) said it himself.

Yeah, he said, "Another warrior can play in my stead if I don't make it..."

But no absolute statement has ruled him out completely. But he could still miss out nonetheless. For Yousef Atal, that one is absolute. He is out 100%.
