Ramj: I need Final clarification on this sir, concerning the ND, cus it is equivalent to 2 years program by WES, am I going to select 2 years in university or trade... Another thing is that, we are given only one eca number by WES, am I going to input it in both the 3 years and 2years slot? Thanks. |

6.5 is acceptable. People recommend aiming for at least a 7 to get into a higher band. The goal is to improve the overall score. If you are comfortable at 460 (a good CRS score btw) then dive into the pool. Edit: Please make sure you simulated your score properly. All the best qoonlay: 5 Likes |

ALHAMDULILLAHI! ALHAMDULILLAHI!! ALHAMDULILLAHI!!! Which of the favour of Allah will I deny? ABSOLUTELY NONE. Diary of a Favoured Emigrant…..Long post alert. Please ignore all typo errors. Thank God and thanks to everyone who contributed in one way or the other. Decision to Travel: I have always wanted to live outside Nigeria. I thought I was getting close to my abroad dream when my father was processing admission for me in a university abroad, unfortunately I lost him to the cold hands of death and that affected my plans. After my B.Sc. I started applying to schools abroad for scholarship to proceed with my MSc. Only one of the many I applied to responded with school fee of almost $12,000 and only $1,000 scholarship, where will I start from? I ignored and continued my life in Nigeria After a while, I discussed with my then boyfriend now hubby about my passion to leave this country, but he was of the opinion that Nigeria will be a better place on day, he said he was only interested in going for vacation abroad and returning to “his” Nigeria. We got married and life goes on, this didn’t stop me from making my finding on how to leave this country and settle in USA legally, hoping that his eyes will clear one day. As God will have it, a colleague hinted me about Canada EE and I was ready for it. I discussed it with hubby but he was adamant. On several occasions I asked my colleague to speak with my hubby but there was no much difference until one day when his brother (medical doctor) and his close friend who both earn well in Nigeria told him same Saturday that they have submitted their passport and expecting COPR. Gbam, my hubby eyes cleared and I made it an assignment to discuss Canada with him every day, gradually I started noticing his conviction. IELTS PREPARATION AND ECA We began practicing for IELTS in Sept. 2017. During our research we realised some people wrote once and made their desired score while some wrote upto 10times before getting desired result. Hubby insisted I write the exam first, I did and my result somehow made him believed it was possible….#wink August 2017- We checked to know who was best to be the PA. At this time hubby had not completed his MSc. If I am the PA with 8,7,7,7 in LRWS we will be at 425 which was the CRS range for ITA as at this time. August 2017, we initiated my ECA via WES. October 2017- First IELTS, 6.5,7,6.5,7 in LRWS October 2017- My ECA was ready Jan 2018- Hubby and I wrote IELTS again Hubby first attempt in LRWS was 7, 6.5, 6.5, 7 My second attempt- 8, 7, 6.5, 7 remark came back unchanged. I was sad. Feb 2018- By this time hubby had completed his Master and we immediately ordered for his ECA via WES Hubby ECA was ready by August 2018 so I created another profile for him. We had 2 different profiles hoping that one of us might get Alberta nomination from the pool. IELTS HUSTLE Hubby continued with IELTS struggles.(LRWS) 2nd attempt Feb 2018 (BC)- 8,6.5,6.5,7 3rd attempt Apr 2018 (BC) 8.5, 9, 6.5, 8 remark came back unchanged, I was sad and almost cried, can’t remember if I even did. This was when we realised we probably need to pray more because we couldn’t figure out what he was getting wrong in writing. I began to fast when I can and prayed more. I didn’t let hubby rest, always reminding him that he needs to go to IELTS (IDP) and bring home 9,9,9,9 for us and at the same time I began to pray for him not to be discouraged and back out of the journey. 4th attempt Aug 2018 (BC) 6.5, 6.5, 6, 7, 5th attempt Sept- 2018 (MOD) 7.5, 6.5, 7, 7.5 Hmn….at 3rd quarter of the year we have not saved enough funds as we planned for the year but our eyes were on the goal and the race continued. 6th attempt Oct 2018 (BC) 8.5, 7, 6.5, 7.5 remark came back with only speaking increasing by 0.5…the only benefit was that we got back our N15,000 after 2 months. 7th attempt Nov 2018(MOD) 6.5, 7.5, 7, 7.5 8th and final attempt Dec 1st 2018 9, 7.5, 7, 8 CRS jumped from 402 to 459…God be praise……I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited and couldn’t stop wondering why it took this long to make the desired score... Apparently we spent over N700,000 on English language test (IELTS) alone, by this time we were sure we will get ITA at the next draw. Dec 19th ………………..we did PCC in preparation for ITA from the next draw. (Insp. Olufunke Hassan did for N3,500 at Room 70, Alagbon Police station) Dec 19th ………………..The precious ITA mail arrived, which we called bronze mail Dec 20th…………….started composing this love letter. Dec 22th ………………Booked medical for Jan 10th, Jan 10th…………………Medical done at IOM, we were the first to arrival at 6:15am and left 11:05am Jan 15th…………………AOR and the wait began. I planned to submit and just move on with life but I couldn’t help but check immitracker and calculate when MEP will arrive for people with Jan 15th AOR. Feb 22nd ………………..MEP Feb 25th………………….Biometric instruction letter (BIL) Feb 26th………………….Biometric done, spent like 2hours, the biometric itself takes like 5-10mins, but the process is like 15mins + X, X is the time you got there, people before you and other human factors. POF POF was in my account, so I got reference letter from GTBank in CIC format and 6months statement of account with Treasury bill certificate. All these were uploaded with a letter of no objection signed by me for my spouse to use fund for settling in Canada. Fast forward to Feb 5th, I noticed an error on the Treasury bill certificate. The maturity date stated on the certificate was Feb 2nd meanwhile, the actual maturity date was Feb 28th. I called my account officer and requested for a correct certificate, she sent to me and I raised CSE immediately to submit an updated certificate. POF was rolled over for another 90days upon maturity and investment certificate was submitted via webform. WORK REFERENCE In my organisation, such request is done online then assigned to an officer in HR department. It was easy for me to request and I picked up my signed reference letter in CIC format within 2 weeks. My hubby (the PA) got his reference from his direct manager within three days in CIC format as well. Although his boss was aware of his plan, infact he requested for details to enable him start the process as well. The wait We raised CSE about 3 times to know status of our application and response was Eligibility and Criminality not started as at 3rd of May when we received the 3rd response, We sent a mailed Ralph, response was same Called CIC, response was same, At that point we decided not to check profile again but pray and believe PPR will show one day. I was only able to hold myself for 2 weeks- April 25th to May 9th when I checked our profile again. I was disappointed it still remained same as it was left 2 weeks ago. I raised GCMS on 15th of May with no response, after 35 days I sent a mail to getgcms. The wait continued and I was always heartbroken to see SUBMITTED, meaning no ghost update was so ever. We called on the 12th of June and the agent who picked informed us that we have exceeded our due date which was June 2nd.She stated that she will minute on our application for visa officer to act on it. She added that this might take month to get a response. Haven heard this we tried to call on the 5th of July but the call discontinued just 6mins to the end of waiting time. Tried again on the 8th and we were told we couldn’t speak to an agent due to high influx of calls. Hubby and I agreed that we will call and send mail on the 15th of July which was our due date for the 6month timeline and also my birthday. Surprisingly, we saw a ghost update on Thursday morning and my birthday gift (PPR) arrived early same evening on the 10th of July………………..Trust me I cannot describe the feeling that comes with PPR (Golden mail) in words but I can say it is a great RELIEF. This journey is not for the faint hearted, it requires a lot of patience and perseverance. Thank GOD, may we never regret taking this bold step of relocating. 115 Likes 11 Shares |

Use what you have on your employment letter. If it is not there, then use 8am to 5pm which is 9hours per day. MINTss: 1 Like 1 Share |

Congratulations to you and your husband. Truly, given what you went through especially with IELTS, this journey is not for the faint of heart. Perseverance is the key. @bolded. I admire the faith you have in God, knowing He would deliver on your dream. Again, congratulations. PS: if I were to mark your PPR script, you'll have scored 9/10. RubyN7: |
