If you have no God father, forget the first class dream for now. Finish your course and get a skill that will make you money. You can either say you r a failure or a success. Depends on your attitude. All is time and chance cos the race is not to the swift... 2 Likes |

Dude, get a degree, but learn a skill (s) By the time you graduate, you would have exceeded most if not all companies age ceiling. By learning a skill, you gain experience, by gaining experience you will be making money which you can leaverage incase you decide to get a job Nothing is ever a waste No skill is ever a waste Its never too late to start again. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Which level are you? If you are in final year, I will advise you to persevere and finish even if it is that 3rd class! That is lot better than not having anything to show for your time in school. You can then go ahead to do other things you want with your life 7 Likes 1 Share |

Use the extra time you have to learn coding no need to restart school if you can manage to graduate. Infact you don't need a degree to succeed in computer science. Pick something and be a master of it, simple. 6 Likes |

Guy write jamb again, use geography and economics and enter economics. You'll be In BSC ECONOMICS. I'm sure it's the maths in computer science that's making you fail. This is the real tweak2k right there, but but you shouldn't have waited that long. |

Tweak2k:Collect your 3rd class certificate and come apply for part time degree at Nasarawa State University, Keffi. You will spend just two years to convert it to another degree programme. Programme will be weekends though, Friday and Saturdays. I don't know if they have part time degree in computer science though. Call me if you have interest Richards 07032640620. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Two things: Computer Science is 4years in most Federal universities, I'm just getting to hear its 5years somewhere. 2ndly, do you have connections? I mean real connections that can get you a job and the degree is the only thing holding you back? If you do, then by all means go for the degree. But if you don't have connections and you're thinking of spending another 4years in school only to come out and join the army of jobless youths with degrees applying for non-existent jobs, then I'd say that's a waste of another 4years. And my advice in which case will be to go learn a trade, a handwork, a vocation, something you have a natural flair for, if you put that 4years into it, my brother, you will become a mega big boy in no time 1 Like |

My dear more than ten years ago, I was in a similar situation. In my mid twenties, no skills, no money, viewed as a disgrace to my parents, I had to ear the humble pie and start all.over again in school. It was no easy decision but it was a decision I had to make. I got those funny looks and comments from people who felt I was a waste of time and resources having squandered my first five years of school. My new classmates even avoided me, I was their idea of a bad student. Rewind ten years I made a 2'1 and 2'2.in the university and law school respectively, I am a practicing lawyer, married with two kids. No one today even remembers that at some point I had to start all over. The most interesting part is that most of my peers who went ahead of me I am heads toes and shoulders ahead of them. My wife is a banker. She loves and adores me. I can't complain about life. I owe these partly to that decision I made 11.years ago. 21 Likes 2 Shares |

my brother let me tell you my story I left school in 2015 because of 1yr extra year. I was admitted in banking & finance in 2009 but because of D7 in economics was given philosophy (graduated with second class lower 3.34 because of academic one side, hustling another side), that's how my dream to be a lecturer was almost cut short after finishing with service in 2017, I had to sat for waec GCE 2017 to correct my silly mistake because people advise me then to go back and resit for another o level instead of accepting philosophy but na me know what I went through to get to that stage. I made the o level with all major subjects I obtained utme 2018 got 234 but wrong selection of utme subjects fvck me up. I sat for this yr utme 2019 with (278) to study political science in unilag I'm telling you all this for you to know your shame will be your glory tomorrow. care less about what people feel/think about you, follow your dream I really don't care what people think or feel about me and that keep me going..just focus and make hay while the sunshine 5 Likes |

It is never too late to learn. There are people older than you that have not even gotten a degree. A cousin of mine graduated at 29. My advise is that, you should graduate with that 3rd class degree and then start again. But this time around, you have to work and study harder. I am also saying that you should be working while studying. In your mid 20s, no one would like to be supporting you. You must support yourself as well. People turn their lives around at 30s. You are still young. 3 Likes |

I have been there before bro. Had a little issue back in 2010 when I was in a federal poly but the issue was sorted, my final ND result was posted and it was good, in 2011 after buying HND form with the intention of going back to complete my education I had to go collect my result that was when the school denied me that I'm not a student of their institution, after fighting hard to get the result I gave up, then I had to take a break for 2 years from school before gathering strength to go back to school (a state polytechnic) in 2013 to start from ND1 and here I am, almost done with my service, will be done by October this year. So you can start all over bro, it shows your willingness, strength and determination. START ALL OVER before you know it, you are done 4 Likes |

here is the bitter truth. u can achieve ur dreams as a tech guru without that degree. I'm a developer but I never had a computer science degree. all u need is the hungry and passion to push u 2ru. I will advice u concentrate on finishing ur education even if it 3rd class and concentrate more on mastery ur tech craft. if u are good with ur tools no one cares if u have pass or third class. 4 Likes |

Got admitted to Uni at 19 to study CS. Dropped out in my last year because I had "mis-spent" my uni days. Dropped out with only my Final Year Project and a few courses left. Was set to graduate with the equivalent of a rock bottom 2:1 when I dropped out aged 23. 3 years later at 26 went back to school to study the same CS at a different Uni. Went to school with folks 10years my junior and felt like a grandad. But I graduated with a 2:1 and moved on with my life. Starting all over never hurt. And it's never ever too late to start all over 9 Likes 1 Share |

What you need is not a new course but a renewed mind. Do you know how many first class in Nigeria working under third class holders? Computer science, you can go learn website design/coding, networking etc. Your 5 years will only be wasted if you dont finish your studies. I have friends working with third class. Wake up. Change your pattern of thought. Look deep within, what do you have interest in? Stop allowing fear of tomorrow eat you up. Most of the things we fear about tomorrow don't happen. Get, "power of positive thinking" by Norman vincent peal. Note that you are as great as you think. Regards 4 Likes |

My advice is this,. Finish your degree because you never know what'll happen if you start a new one. Secondly do pgd and go for masters. You are interested in coding etc, you don't need a good degree for that. Just develop yourself and move on. Even if you are to start another first degree, finish the one you are currently doing no matter how poor the degree is. You will most likely skip first year if starting a new degree with first degree. Not sure if this is applicable here. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
