Thanks for your responses to enquiries on this thread.
Please i want to know if the years of experience is deduced from credentials(post nysc experience) or the role applied for?
What if you applied for a role of minimum of 6years experience and you have 9 years post nysc experience? What level will the person be placed? Thanks
Jarus:

8m upfront in January. 400k monthly afterwards.

I don't even have the energy to delve into your Jacob-Esau analogy. FYI, not everybody on this thread practices your religion.

Your analogy is spurious and embarrassingly saddening. If you must use analogies, use the ones that are apt.

Sir Jarus, thanks. But does it mean new hires from the ongoing recruitment won't get upfront payment until January 2020? And does NNPC wait for 3 months before paying their new staff like some Govt. MDAs do? I'd appreciate your insightful reply, sir.

Not sure how it works.

2 possible options.

Let's say you resume in October (3 months to year end).

1, The upfront could be pro-rated (3/12*4m), and paid to you in October end, and the regular monthly subsequently for the rest of the year
or
2, The allowances that make up upfront(Housing etc) could be paid monthly till year end

Not sure how it works. Just my guess of possibilities.

On the 3 months wait, I don't think it applies to NNPC. NNPC is not ministry, it is self-funded.

Try to comprehend things oga. The issue is whether God is a factor and I can tell you yes, he is. It's not only capacity that helps you to attain positions in life, some other factors must work for you. And that's what many people refer to in different ways: grace, luck, favour, time & chance, G-factor, etc.

This is a recruitment in which several factors are being used simultaneously. You could be the best from your state but the position you applied for has to be taken by another candidate from another state due to federal character principle, and boom, you're out despite having performed excellently. It simply means time & chance didn't favour you.

Was GEJ the best in terms of capacity when he assumed the position of president, ditto for PMB..will you say Mai Kanti Baru was the best in NNPC when he was made the GMD, ditto for Mele Kyari.... Was Emefiele the best the banking sector could offer when he became CBN governor, was Buratai the best in the army when he became COAS... In a place like Nigeria where ethnicity & nepotism is rife, you could be the best but your ethnicity won't favour you. Will you see PMB choosing his ADC from a tribe other than his...

There was a time the best two 500L students in the department of petroleum engineering in one of the foremost federal universities in Nigeria were to be sent on an excursion overseas. The best two students were male and the 3rd best was a female. Suddenly the sponsors and the department just decided that one of the two students should be a female. That was how the 2nd best student was sacrificed so the unqualified female could join the excursion.

A reflection of all these scenarios simply tells you that it's not only demonstrated capacity that takes you to where you aim for in life, other factors (not obvious or seen) must work for you.

Walai this post-interview period is even more terrifying than the post-cbt period. The second phase of recruitment should have been interview and then those who pass would go for cbt

@jarus and all.... please any clue on how the interview was graded? Cos in my panel 9, the only guy who used pen during my time was the chairman. The rest though asked questions. The secretary was on the system behind me, didn't see what he did or didn't...

Cool, although I anticipated the panelists to be jovial, considering other candidates' experience on most of the existing panels at the time. No time for banters, straight to business. What about you?
Very true, those people meant business o. It got to a part though, I guess I made them burst into laughter. Just 5 questions asked, straight to business. The fair skinned man was the one recording the scores I guess....

Panel 6 interviewed me on 3rd July 2019. the panel consisted of 4 men and 1 lady. They were friendly and introduced themselves by saying their names. They asked me several questions (12) on my knowledge, experiences, situations, general questions and HSE. They asked me if I have any questions. Any one interviewed on Panel 6 at the Finance and Accounts Directorate. Great people I must say.

Had my interview July 8th with Panel 6 but EH- AUDITOR, at the waiting foyer, there was a banner whose inscription is Corporate Governance and Risk Management. But that time, there were 3men and 3women on the panel, one of the men (Mr Muazu) who ushered me in was behind me on the system and was just taking notes while the remaining panel members were just throwing questions from left centre and right. I couldn't have done anyway better sha. Above all, we pray for favor.

In summary, anything extra that is not a product of hardwork or discipline must be God's favour. God = other factors

Who created or inspired these factors. Was it God or men? What exactly is your understanding of time and chance? Based on the premises of your logic, we can conclude that the federal character principle is God's favour to some people or atleast, only those with much of God's favour can tap into it.. angry
Was GEJ the best in terms of capacity when he assumed the position of president, ditto for PMB..will you say Mai Kanti Baru was the best in NNPC when he was made the GMD, ditto for Mele Kyari.... What is your defination of best? Is the person the highest mark in an assessment the best? Are u saying that Buratai and co did not show potentials to be solution providers in their areas of appointment and it was just God's favour? Can you vouch for GEJ and co that they did not lobby or do some shaddy politics behind the scene? There are just so many possibilities.

[quote] There was a time the best two 500L students in the department of petroleum engineering in one of the foremost federal universities in Nigeria were to be sent on an excursion overseas. Wow! So we can now conclude that God was the factor at work for the lady and that the 2nd best did not have enough of God's grace in his life. Very interesting.

A reflection of all these scenarios simply tells you that it's not only demonstrated capacity that takes you to where you aim for in life, other factors (not obvious or seen) must work for you.

What are the other factors? Are you saying all other factors aside hardwork are what constitute God's favour? From your opening comming, you purpoted that chance in its real sense is God's input.

Dan you must not respond to everything, silence can be golden atimes. This is not a religious thread, there is a thing line between proving a point and constituting a nuisance. Be wise.

I thinkbits high time those who werent invited for the interview moved on. About 9k pple were interviewed, only a fraction will eventually be employed. So logically there is no second batch invite
