I told you earlier that what Moses wrote were types and shadows of what will later happen. If you read the bible, there was progressive revelation. People continued to "know" God the more they approach the new testament. It was years later that Isaiah explained it. Moses didn't explain how the priesthood was talking about Jesus, It was David that saw the revelation. But when John saw it, it became clearer. Paul explained most of everything in the old testament except the concept of Jesus' priesthood that was explained by the writer of hebrews.

It'll be very dishonest to claim that Paul didn't have revelation as the old testament prophets. Paul brought about reformation to Christianity in his teachings and books. Peter and his colleagues wanted to continue the status quo until Paul came to the scene and brought clarity to everything. The early Christian doctrine were centered on Paul's teachings. That's why after the Acts 13 meeting, the book of Acts were totally focused on Paul till the end. I don't believe there is any supernatural force or higher power that has any active interest in us and while I cannot categorically say such a being or beings do not/can not exist, I have seen no evidence that they do so I reserve belief (and of course is such beings become known belief is useless anyway).

I looked around and knew I could not in all honesty continue to defend my faith in light of our collective experience as humans. And the more I look critically at the claims of the bible and the bible itself the more problems arise so that I can't even think any of represents the word of a supreme, intelligent being.

I get where you are comming from. I personally know there is supreme force (God if you will) exists from personal experience although I know I would like to hook unto God's frequency more often ie be as close as a child or friend. If there is a god and it does nothing, how is it different from not existing? If we don't know how to connect to it how is it our job to make the effort? If you wanted to communicate with an ant, would you expect the ant to make the effort?

So take it or leave it, he has explained what led to that and his own worshipers are aware of it, therefore we're consoled knowing we're going to see our dead loved ones again!

Sorry for the loss of your friends daughter. According to the bible at the fall of Adam and Eve, it did not say there will be wars when God sent them out, it did not say man shall be evil to man... Those happened when Satan fell. That was the consequence of Satan's presence on earth not tied to man eating the fruit of knowledge. Early death sickness, wars etc. Just a biblical perspective to death.
I don't believe early death is as a result of Adams sin.
