President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday was said to have telephoned the bereaved National Leader of Afenifere Pa Reuben Fasoranti whose second daughter was shot dead by suspected armed kidnappers on Friday afternoon along Benin-Ore-Ijebu ode road.

This is just the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, revealed that it never occurred to him that the late Funke Olakunrin came to him on Friday morning to bid farewell.

The 58-year old daughter of Pa Fasoranti was murdered by gunmen on Friday afternoon along Ore-Ijebu ode expressway.

The Nonagenarian urged President Buhari to find lasting solutions to incessant killings in the country.

Fasoranti, who spoke while receiving dignitaries who came to his Akure residence on Saturday to sympathize with him, said the had received call from President Buhari.

DRIVER RECOUNTS HOW DAUGHTER OF AFENIFERE’S LEADER WAS KILLED

“We had a stop over to by soft drinks at Ore. We were attacked Ore toll gate by some masked men who emerged from the bush.

“At this point, madam asked me to reverse which I did.

Sad

He confirmed that, “President Muhammadu Buhari has called to commiserate with me. But all I need from the president is to find solutions to these killings in the country.”

Well sir, you aren't the only one to tell him this.
Several well-meaning folks have been pleading, cajoling, threatening and cursing Bubu to look into the affairs of the nation wide insecurity.
Seems like the ear infection he went to treat a couple of years ago has made him deaf.
He couldn't read, he doesn't watch the news, and he doesn't give a fvck about anyone else, other than his Fulani brethren and their cows. Which is why he wants everyone to give up their lands to pacify them.

Las Las, when everybody get sense, we would all pick up whatever available weapon and beat anyone with Fula looks to death...and let the implosion commence.
Self defence is no crime.

So sad, may her soul rest in peace.

However from the eye witness account of her driver, there was nothing to even suggest that the attack was done by any Fulani herdsmen.

"We had a stop over to by soft drinks at Ore. We were attacked Ore toll gate by some masked men who emerged from the bush.

“At this point, madam asked me to reverse which I did.

“They started shooting at us and other vehicles.

“In the process my boss was hit by bullets. Some of us in the vehicle escaped. We later rushed her to the hospital where she gave up the ghost” he stated
.

It makes any thinker wonder if we just started having masked armed robbers on our highways. Did they all suddenly repent at once? Or did they go on holiday? Let us use our brains for goodness sake.

We should be careful in labeling every killing in the south to herdsmen because not only does it mean we cannot find the true killers as we are pointing in the wrong direction, but we are also dancing to the tune of enemies of this country who seem to want a war between Yoruba and the North for their selfish and wicked interests.

... The Driver said Mask men come out from the Bush and shot at them. And the likes of ipob pigs, Fani kayode and Reno already said it was Fulani herds men.

In as much as I don't support the killings we should stop spreading hate. The politicians are using '' divide and rule strategy '' on us through ethnicity and religion until we go beyond that Nigeria will never be a better Country.

Even if the entire country divides we'll still be divided amongst us because we've seen it as a way of life.

Until we're United we can't choose a rightful leader based on merit we'll continue to suffer until we've sense and stand against the Elites who are the real Enemy.

There needs to be a lasting solution very soon, it's either that or we ask for foreign help.
Cause I don't understand how this is happening under our nose yet our military personnel helps other African countries deal with situations similar to this.. every one should set aside their personal gain and work together to stop this incessant killings.
No be until them kill your relative.

People who blame herdsmen for everything are part of current problems in Nigeria.
The driver said they were 'masked gunmen', some people that were not even there have already jumped into conclusion that they were 'herdsmen'.
Enemies of state will surely use this opportunity to commit their evil acts since they know that herdsmen will be blamed for all killings anyway.
BTW, my advice to those who will not use their brain to reason and attack me is that, the solution to the problems or grudges you have against the north is not blaming herdsmen for every killing, rather it will only worsen the situation.
We've already been scammed, let's not complicate our already complicated issue.

It is very heartbreaking to lose a child and a citizen of Nigeria but I don't think it is fair jumping to conclusion that the "masked men" are fulani herdsmen.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
Many travelers are being killed daily on that road but the voices of the victims' families are not heard.
The rich are now beginning to feel the pains being inflicted on the masses daily by these heartless men of the underworld.
May God rescue our nation from this terrible situation.

How did they know it was herdsmen if masked people came out from the bush and started shooting at them? This is looking like an assassination to me.

This killings is getting out of hand. The President need to to address it as soon as possible and the culprit brought to book. That road and others major high ways need to be put on security surveillance to check this menace using technology like drones etc.
