As for me it is not about the money. It is about working there. I have other side hustles which I can maintain or give to someone close and faithful.

very true...top oil companies are generally very good places to start a career.. Plus the nnpc ecosystem would come with a lot of exposure that would lead to greater things.. Plus it's a federal government work . A slight advantage on its own.

We are saying the same thing. Side hustles are what they are - "side hustles" to make additional income. If your remuneration takes care of the level of lifestyle you desire for yourself, there may not be need for side hustle and if it is a side hustle born out of passion, you'd leave d job and go face it. 1. NLNG is jointly owned by NNPC, Shell, Total and Agip. You need to keep the company in the standard of those IOCs. NNPC is a government company, NLNG is not a government company.

Unfortunately, most of them have no spaces for entry level (except the IOCs and maybe Seplat). No time to train. Thet prefer experienced people.

And most of the openings are hardly advertised (except for the IOCs). Informal industry networking.

In absolute pay ( monthly pay + upfront+ bonus), they do better than NNPC. But NNPC has some benefits like estacode and some other side benefits that make them competitive. But some of these add-ons are not guaranteed, depends in departments etc.

An NPDC staff is first an NNPC staff.

I remember when asked where I’d like to be In Nnpc, I said NAPIMS. They replied that they don’t send graduate Trainees there and it requires some level of expertise. That I am best suited for NPDC. I had backed my Napims answer as I’m aware that they need innovative personnels for their Jv improvement program.
I hope they don’t score me low. Anyway they seemed friendly and I’m a product of Grace so I’m always the exception to the rule of law.
