For the fact that Jarus is responding does not mean that we should abuse the privilege, if we want to know about COO and GMD salaries, we should exercise patience till the time we become part of NNPC, please let's restrict our inquiries to things that are relevant for now. Thanks

Agreed, resume should not be more than 2 pages but it is not restricted to GT neither is a CV restricted to Exp. hires. An experienced hire can decide to tailor his/her qualification, skills and experience to a specific role with a 2 page resume, while some GTs who are privileged to have participated in some extracurricular projects can have a robust 5page CV.

I don't know what some dudes here rely upon when they speak with FULL confidence of their performance at the interview and eventual APL.....it really keeps me up to wonder....and again the show of achievements and current take home pay....
To those of us looking and hoping on GOD, don't be deterred and do not lose faith in urself, time shall review who God favours in this race....

In the multinational space, promotions aren't driven by time alone. You have to build specific and measurable competencies before you can breakout and move to another level. Someone may do this faster than another person. You could be cross trained into a different role than that for which you were initially hired or posted abroad for international exposure. These things all come into play when promotion decisions are made. This isn't to say it's a perfect system. However, NNPC may be different given that it's government run.
My advice would be to go through the process and not worry too much about how long it might take you to go up the food chain.

I have a friend that, in 10 years, got to a level in Shell it ordinarily takes 15 years to get to due to exceptional performance.

A guy from a very poor home in the "village". Struggled to pay 17k school fees in our final year in university. That's why I always encourage people to try their best and not listen to all this talk about connection in recruitment.

Now a very very big boy.

Happy for him. That's how life is.
