Their birth certificates (from National Population Commission) should suffice with the assumption that your name is on it. You should also get a court affidavit to also show that you have been the sole provider for the kids and a single mother. snowlordng: |

snowlordng: So you're a baby mama wanting to bring your pikin with you to Canada under the caregiver program ? Call it what it is. Canada can prove they're you're biological children. But I don't think you'd qualify under that program if you decide to bring your kids with you. Nigerians barely get a visa for that program. In fact I've never met a Nigerian who has. 3 Likes |

Hello everyone, I can see several pre arrival services such as Sopa, Access, CanPrep, next stop canada, active engagement and integration project and new comers success. My questions are: 1. Is there any reason to register for all? 2. It seems there was a time people used to talk about one that was organised at a location in Lagos. Any reason why there is no information about this again? Thanks |

I believe you should have updated information before you start discouraging someone. Copied from their official website. Under the new caregiver pilots, applicants will be assessed for permanent residence criteria before they begin working in Canada. Once the caregiver has their work permit and 2 years of work experience, they will have access to a direct pathway to become a permanent resident. These pilot programs will replace the Caring for Children and Caring for People with High Medical Needs pilots and include: Occupation-specific work permits for caregivers, providing the ability to change jobs quickly when necessary.Open work permits for spouses/common-law partners and study permits for dependent children, to allow the caregiver’s family to accompany them to Canada. Note that the new program was set to launch in June. If you have never seen then she might be the first you would come across. maternal: 8 Likes |

damzy88: 1. No, you don't need all. One is enough. From experience, SOPA & Access are really good. 2. No information because they don't organize that one anymore... at least for now 4 Likes 8 Shares |

oluayebenz:Don't understand the question how is it possible. She should apply for the visa class she wishes to apply normally saying where is applying from as there is a place on the form it is asked. She will fill in temporary resident in the space provided for that when asked for residency status and for citizenship Nigeria. She will fill her Canadian address where she is staying now. |
