To the experienced parents in the house, how did you guys arrive or choose your baby's third name or other name ?

My baby is 9 months old but we are yet to obtain her birth certificate because both parents can't agree on the third name on the birth certificate.

The father want a particular name he's been using on some of his documents even before the child was conceived ( A unisex name) while the mum want a name given by her MIL basically as an effort to further unite the family because both dad and his mum never had a so good relationship until recently so she feels such an effort will further unite the family .

It's actually look like a small issue but our inability to agree is delaying the process of officially registering the baby's birth

It depends on parents' agreement. In our own case, my husband gives English name while I give Yoruba name, and those are the names on the BC, any other name given by the family doesn't enter BC. Shikena.

nb: its not necessary the name given to her by MIL enta BC, the MIL should be calling her the name and allow the father to put whatever name he wants to put. Afterall, shebi na him mama give ur daughter the name. its a simple matter.

@ kayzat My baby has 15 names, but out of all my hubby and I named 3. My native name, his native name and one English name. We use the three as official name and they all appeared on BC. The remaining 12 were from families and friends, we made sure to call all the names people sent including mil, sil and fil on christening day to avoid unnecessary drama. So all of them call dd by the name they gave her but ours is official.

Who picked the first name?

If the names involved aren't too long four names can stay on the birth certificate.

Zuriela:

Hello Ma'am,
My kids never had convulsion but my Bossom friend's son had it.
First of all, I know you've been going to the hospital but pls go to a general hospital or a teaching hospital for a comprehensive test, so the cause of the convulsion can be found. In my friend's son case, his was caused by some strange activity in his brain(don't want to go further). She saw a Neurologist.
As much as I believe in medicine, I also believe in the spiritual, every MOTHER is a spiritual being, so pls lay your hands on her and cry out to God on her behalf preferably at midnight. God will wipe away your tears.

Pls mind where you take your child to for healing. Preserve her destiny.
Thanks alot my sister, I really appreciate it.

Dear mothers,

My 10 weeks old breaths noisily as if catarrh is blocking his nose while sucking breast, especially if not served immediately he calls for it.( I haven't notice it while formula feeding) Is it common trend for babies their age? Has any mother experienced it and please what step did you take to correct it?

It's the brand name for eucalyptus oil. Used to treat cold and chest congestion. Pls don't use directly on baby's skin Ooooooo as its quite harsh in the skin. You can put few drops on baby's shawl, bib flannel and let the baby inhale. Or add some drop to the hot bathing water or u can use it for steam inhalation.

Most pharmacies should have it

Not to bathing water please. You can put it in hot water for steam inhalation, just like you do when you have catarrh. That's put in hot water, carry baby, cover your head with a big towel and let him inhale the steam. Just 2-3 drops at a time please. It should never come in contact with the skin please, not even in bathing water, it's way too strong. @Pearl05
