You do not need to swear any affidavit. You were born after 1992. Just go to any NPC office and get your birth certificate

They are not compulsory but if you have a very beautiful result, you can go with transcripts. Anything that puts you in a positive light is good. If you also have NYSC, go with it

Please if one doesn't have a first school leaving certificate will it affect anything??

Hi House, your various contributions on this platform have really been very helpful. Pls let's keep up the good work of being our brothers' keeper.

I got my admission letter yesterday for an Msc program starting 21st Oct. I have booked an appointment and now waiting for appointment date with the consulate.

Please i need further clarification on the following checklist required for the interview.

1 Is attestation of birth issued by NPC for people born before 1988 valid for the interview ( I saw somthing like declaration of age deposed to by head of the family and I will like to know where to get that if the NCP attestation of birth is not tenable)

2. I notice I can open a blocked account online with any of the banks listed on the consulate website, so at what point do i need to visit the consulate for certification of my signature.
[/color]
3. Is the transcript of my first degree a must for the interview or my degree certifice will suffice.

Thank you all for your immense support as always.

Good morning everyone, please what's the deal with this block account amount being increased? I got a mail from Finitaba to say from 1st of September the amount is now 853 per month ....10,236 in total and also saw another news that says the increase is from January 2020. Here is the link https://www.study-in-germany.de/en/plan-your-studies/requirements/proof-of-financial-resources_27533.php
Although Finitaba said it in the email to contact local embassy to see if the change is in effect in such country and i have checking the website and student check but it still 8,640. My interview is in September and now I am confused, i don't know what to do, please the guru's in the house, what is the way forward? Suggestions?

Devil is a liar, he can't spoil your shine my dear...
if the school is not recognized, the entire transcript is useless irrespective.

However, don't give up just yet...im only sure of houdegbe, you can contact the course coordinator for confirmation before you apply if you didn't finish from Houdegbe.

regards.

Okay sassy92, thank you. I’m wondering if open university is a good choice for this option? What do you think please?
sassy92:

Since no university in Benin is recognised in Germany your 100 lvl transcript may not suffice. So please register in a university here in Nigeria, complete 100 lvl and use the transcript to apply for another BSc. This means that you may not make summer 2020 but possibly winter 2020.
Use the opportunity to learn German and maybe write English test to increase your number of applications.

Yes, National Open University of Nigeria is recognised in Germany.

The BA increment is officially from January 2020,however visa applications from September 1 2019 will be affected by the increment. Your visa application begins on your AD because that's the day you are interviewed and your visa fee collected. Therefore if your AD is September and beyond you will have to top up your BA.

Good Morning All,

Please for those that applied to Postdam (Msc. Data Science), I will like to know if anyone has heard from the school.

Thank you.
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Lightofzoe: 9:15am On Jul 19, 2019
Please if you studied in any of the so called private uni in rep of Benin, please don’t bother yourself, your school isn’t recognized, i just checked I’m so pained right now you can start at a Nigerian uni to get your 100l transcript which is what I’ll do. Use the link below to check.

Rita its very simple from what the VO is saying
You should not be the one to sworn that.. as ' You wer e told by your parent that.....
Your parent or head of family should be the one to sworn and tell all the story about your birth and sign and NOT YOU
No need to even stress your self just tell the person that prepared it to use kone of your parents to sworn it

Thus question has been answered fews pages before this page infact it was answered just yesterday.... This it what it means the new increment will be effective from 1 January 2020 but also in addition to that they also said for visa interviews starting from September 1st you are required to produce the new rate which is €853 euro month, which will give you a total of10,236... For you having ur interview in September the new rate applies to you and finitba has made it possible on their website for u to adjust the money to the new rate and also you will be required to add the balance for the new rate that's if you have funded already

Hello, pls i would appreciate your advice on this issue, I applied for German students visa appointment date, and was scheduled for 16th of July 2019, however, after 10 days I was sent another mail to come on 1st of August but it carries no reference number and my passport number was also missing, nevertheless, I decided to call the embassy and I was asked to come on the 16th which I did but was denied entry. I am seriously confused on what to do now and I would appreciate your contributions. thank you.

I had the same situation. Just turn up at the earliest one as long as you are ready. sometiimes its the system fault. They sent mine twice i just turned up at the first date as the second date fell at a work day and was inconvienent for me.

Good luck with your interview
