Design

This is a no brainer, the design of the SE is far better than the K20, thank God genius has posted a link that settles that, besides the k20 looks so ugly at least from the back while the SE looks so premium both front and back.

Where is the comparison with the K20 in the attachment you posted?

Design is subjective. What I like might not be what another likes. There are people who don't like any form of notch, there are those who prefer the iPhone X kinda notch to all this other iteration of notches.

This your argument is null and void.

Let's start with processor, no doubts, everyone knows which device wins here but then, this is sd730 Vs Sd 712, the difference ain't noticeable in everyday use . Nobody can tell the difference by handling both devices you need to check the specs before you can tell .

Even then, this is still comparing the same 7** series chipset, it's not like comparing 7** and 8**.

Let's face it, there is nothing you throw at the730 that the 712 cannot also take. I challenge you to name one task the k20 will handle better than the mi 9 SE.

People talk about gaming, the truth is hardcore gamers will always go for SD 855 nothing less will do. It's just like laptops, hardcore gamers go for Gaming laptops while the everyday user go for something less.

In truth, is" Actually anything 675 or above is fast nowadays, the chips has gotten so good these days even tht mid-range ones are not being fully utilized to they do potential in most tasks. The major difference has always been the GPU but I have yet to found a game that the 675 doesn't play well at decent graphic settings" https://amp.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/c06gfg/sd730_vs_sd855/

In summary I'll borrow a quote from one of the k20 fans here:

You skipped comparing the Snapdragon 712 Vs 730 and running to it's 2 steps ahead senior brother SD 855 to find solace, which is the basis of our argument.

And you mentioned the SD 675. Common the SD 712 is just in your words "marginally" better than it but that won't make me recommend the RN7pro over the Mi 9 SE.

The second point is:

Battery

Here, we also know who wins, 3070ah Vs 4000mah. But in the smart phone world, this doesn't tell the whole story. Phones, particularly chipset, always have their way of optimizing power, the SE has a much smaller screen and can optimise it's battery. The battery on this full lasts a full day on a single charge, tell me is that not good enough? And it's not as if the 4000mah lasts for 2days.

Again, premium brand like Apple and Samsung have Less than 4000mah on their flagship and nobody is complaining though those phones do more processes than the k20.

Samsung M30 has a 5000mah battery, are you going to choose it above the S10 with 3400 man?

Even Xiaomi mi 9 has 3300mah, are u going to choose the k20 over it?

Of course, I understand the consideration in the above scenarios are much more than battery, but at least that still proves a point that a better battery does not tell the whole story.

The funny thing is, no matter the capacity of ur battery, people still carry power banks around.
Bros ....are u for real?
With d 9Se 712 processor optimize than 730 on k20?
On top of 3 against 4000mah?
Kai bros....u fall hand here!
This is getting childish already ....

Which would you buy if you had the money and why?

Kick off imminent. Let's go.
K20pro of course even k20/mi9t is still better than mi9se even if the margin is not much

everything you said boils down to preference.
If mi 9t and mi 9se are similar, whatever makes me go for any makes that choice better than the forfeited irrespective of if it's battery or size or camera.
That's why they have little differences.
Personally I'll go for the mi 9t because of battery, the camera is close, that radio is a plus for me because there are some places I go to that there's not a single cell tower close by but there's local radio frequency, how man wan take hear news. FM radio is very popular in Abuja especially that ordinary president programme.

You are running around in circles.

The Redmi K20/Mi 9T Vs Mi 9SE stick to it.

Since you want to deviate let me educate you.

Battery life of any phone is dependent on factors which include Battery size, battery optimization, battery efficient processor and sometimes the UI it runs on.

Back to the Mi 9 SE Vs Mi 9T/K20

Do you think if the both phones have the same battery the Mi 9SE will out last the K20 despite its smaller display? Not really.

Why? The SD 730 is more power efficient than the SD 712 thanks to the 8nm process the formal employs.

If battery don't matter, why did people prefer the S10+ to the regular S10?
And if you don't know the S10 + is the flagship from the S10 line up.

You are basing battery size on S10, is S10 the only flagship you look up to or is it the golden boy of all flagships? No. Let me run down a list of flagship devices of 2019 and see if your analysis is not wrong.

Huawei P30 pro - 4200mah
Asus ZenFone 6Z - 5000mah
Lenovo Z6 pro - 4000mah
OnePlus 7 pro - 4000mah
Sony Xperia 1 -3300mah
Xiaomi Mi 9 - 3300mah
Samsung S10 + - 4100mah
Honor 20 Pro -4000mah
Redmi K20 Pro - 4000mah.

Can you now see that the trend is changing.

Don't be bias and blind in arguments

Thank u, so people choose the S10+ over the S10 because of the battery? I know you're joking right. Otherwise why don't they choose the M30 with a better battery.
A phone that lasts u a day on a single charge isn't cool enough for u? Even then y'all still carry power bank around.

Talking about flagships, I can see u conveniently left out iPhone. Remind me their battery capacity.
You can also add the latest Tecno phantom with 3400 may for good measure

So much for the significant points, now let's move on to the irrelevances Add ons

Radio

I'll give the same response I gave earlier,

that is exactly why u don't need radio on ur phone, cos there is internet radio!
I presume u have DSTV at home and I'm sure u are aware it has awesome radio stations, how many times have you ever tuned to them?

Remember those phones of 10 years ago that have television, why is there no brand putting television on their phones today?

Talking about radio in the smartphones of 2019 is so ridiculous, the premium brands apple and Samsung have removed it from their phones for not less than five years, I doubt even if apple had the feature right from time.

Sincerely, if I'm to choose between two phones of exact same spec and maker, say Nokia 6 and one has a radio and the other doesn't, believe me that will never influence my decision, in that case it's the colour that will decide.

Like I said earlier, I asked my colleagues in the office if anyone still listens to radio on there phones and they were all stunned.

Believe me the radio feature is also going the way of the television feature
can you remember how info was transmitted sometime last year I think , when there was a natural disaster in the U.S and cell towers were knocked down? OEM'S were advised to unlock their radio on smartphones.

From your tone I'll say your work is usually inside a building (office)
If your work entails entering forest or boats to remote places without road network, where you only rely on GPS location you'll understand the importance of radio and a very good battery backup.

All what you guys are arguing on is personal preference.
Just as you're saying apple dropped the 3.5 jack , same way people are dropping the notch.. everyone with their own choice. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Everyone with what works for him/her..

I love both phones, but there are certain things I consider a must for which ever I'm going to buy

Another ridiculous feature in 2019, something iPhone have ditched for 5 years. Who cares about that? But if you do, the mi 9 SE comes with an adaptor and an earpiece. I didn't even remove them from the carton.
earphone jack is not a ridiculous feature pls...
Wired headphones are way better than wireless especially when it comes to gaming...
