Been a while since I created a post on this forum


Dusk in Calabar is a photography project I started last month out of boredom. I'm documenting nightlife in Calabar while shooting for fun. It's nearly getting to completion cause I plan ending by month.



I will be sharing some of the images here.. Critics are very welcomed

1. In a land of death, she brought a message of life


Mary Slessor was a scottish missionary assigned to the Efik land (Calabar), Nigeria

2. Triple luxury in a tricycle


Tricycles are not allowed in the night but this one is exclusive vvip tricycle and it's parked in front of the Local Government building

3. Here's one of the tallest building(ig not the tallest) in Calabar, it's the center of tourism for cross river state government. From the top of this building you could see two local governments (Calabar south and municipal)
But you get a large Ariel view of the city

4. This picture is. Unique in its way cause while I was out looking for what to shoot while starting this series I had my footwear damaged and I had to Capture this unique image of a technician( engineer) who should be around 60-65 years old opposite use fixing rechargeable lamps while working late at around 8:49pm

It depends on what you actually want to compile. Are you following a theme or just want to compile random images??

6. After shooting, Man had to take a break... It's not easy

Not a photographer myself but here's my take.
1. over-expose some of your shot...some are too dark.
2. Edit them it's not bad to edit photo's and remove blemishes in pictures that's what makes them "perfect".
But overall calabar is a nice place so even if you snap gutter it will still look beautiful. Good job

Funny enough the first is considerably better leave it bright just remove only the lens glare

I don't take professional jobs on it. I rent
