Does the car puff out smoke when you step on the throttle pedal?
If it does, then ask your mechanic to do a compression test on each cylinder to know where the culprit is.
It's possible you have a worn valve seal, or piston.
Get prepared to change or overhaul the engine depending on the outcome of the compression test.
As a palliative measure, you can switch to a thicker oil weight while you save up money for the work depending on its severity.
If you were using 5W30 oil weight, try switching over to 0w40 or something around that category to reduce the frequent top up.
But if you've been using the normal 20W50 that our mechanics use most time and it shorts oil, then you have a bigger issue at hand.
Conduct a compression test on each cylinder for proper direction on what to do, and also ask someone to observe the kind of smoke that comes out of tail pipe and how it occurs (all the time, or only short puff on cold start or hard acceleration).

Sorry but, I don't steal from my riders. If that's the way forward for you then all the best. I've seen a driver almost beaten to pulp and taken to police station because of saka. So better be careful.

Most riders are much aware of this now. Once the fare is ridiculously higher than the fare estimate they'll change it for you. Especially if no surge or heavy traffic. How can a fare of 2500 max be running to 8k plus. Are you anini's younger brother? angry

Difference between Uber and Bolt

#1 Uber more premium riders (H/A income earners)
Bolt Value 4 moni riders (A/L income earners)

#2 Uber more accurate with fare calculation
Bolt sometime app failure on trips not accurate

#3 Have strong driver/riders protection package
Bolt them nor send you, expected to pay 6k for it

Anywhere in the world apart from nigeria. Lets not be deceived. The money has no value. The stated above strategies can only work in other countries but can hardly be achieved in naija.

A lizard in Lagos would not become an Alligator in Washington just because it crossed the ocean to the white man's land.
If you have $100 and stay in a place like New York without proper planning, that $100 would not have any value to you.
Same thing applies to Lagos. If you have ₦36,000 and stay on the Island without proper planning, that money go finish in a night.
Hustle for your money and spend/invest wisely bro and you go dey all right. Money has one universal language everywhere in the world. If you live above your means or invest wrongly, you will get same result anywhere in the world.

You need to go to their office at Maryland for training before your account will be fully activated.

That's the last part of the registration.

Today i want to talk about my observations with car owners(partners)......from interaction with a fee since joining the business these is what i observered

1...they seem to forget that they are partners with the drivers(the owners are limited partners while the drivers are general partners) the limited partners should read up what partnership is all about and re-adjust there mindset- which will lead to number 2 below

2...they come into the game with employer employee philosophy: they address the drivers like they are there staff, hence they call you anytime and expect you to answer, come to see them...you know "the yes sir master sir sydrome"

3...from the get go they are already suspicious, feeling itchee. Here i dont blame them its as a result of the country we find ourself...but what is required of them is to create systems that handle or tackles that....

will contd have a request

Here i dont blame them its as a result of the country we find ourself...but what is required of them is to create systems that handle or tackles that.... Macdonalds, KFC and other franchise use system to manage people they should transcend to that thinking pattern or mindset..

4...they interview drivers with the employer employee mindset...what they should be looking out for is what investors do when looking out for investment partners, what entreprenuers do when looking for co-founders or partners....stop asking questions like are you married? That believe that only married people are trust worthy should be debunked....

have you done these job before is good question but i would go further by adding a system that checkmates the drivers newbie or amateur status..

Then why did you leave the car you were driving before? A good question but also owners should know agreement, business relationship fall apart so it all boils down to systems, processes that manages the partnership...

Lastly they should know now that the intellect of folks now coming in droves into these business are different now, most of these guys have got alot upstairs and these uber or taxify hustle might just be a means to an end at the moment....
Just my 2 cent thou!

It brings out white smoke.
Not sure the regular mecs (that i usually use) can do a compression test...maybe you could please explain how it can be done.
I use the regular 20W50 mineral oil (Mobil XHP).

I went to a Mec that I used a long while ago to check today. He said the seals aren't leaking and advised I change oil to Forte Oil Visco 2000 and wait to see if the situation changes.

Thanks much for your post. I would like to get the compression test done regardless of the oil substitute results.

I just want to comment on the bolded from my own opinion..... Please, it's my opinion, so don't crucify me grin

The question I ask myself is "what exactly is the driver bringing to the table for him to be called a partner in this business?"

If I set up a food canteen: Furnish it with tables, chairs, curtains, tiles, TV, and I employ two ladies to cook and sell, and I tell them that for every plate they sell, I give them #150, will I really call this a partnership? When it is glaring that if anything happens to the shop, they(the two ladies) have nothing to lose?

Look at it from another angle.....

To be truthful to myself, I don't see it as a partner relationship. It's actually an employer-employee relationship

I see uber guys get serious accidents, and I ask myself...."What's the fate of the car owner? " Will the driver fix the car?

Bros, that's how I see this work oh... Na who provide and maintain motor be the oga grin
