I asked an importer friend while they dont use port harcourt port he told me its cheaper to ship to lagos , clear and transport to the east than to clear in port harcourt

It's baffling how some people from a certain part of this country wrongly assume that the Yorubas are the reasons why The Warri, Onne and Calabar ports are not as busy (though functioning) as the Apapa and Tin Can seaports in Lagos.

Hon Rotimi Amaechi was Minister of Transport ,with supervising powers over the Nigerian Ports Authority for over 3years and GEJ was executive president of Nigeria for over 5years...If Yorubas are the problems of these seaports, these two illustrious sons of the Niger Delta would have corrected it.
