Beasts of No Nation follows the civil war tales & experiences of AGU, a child solder. Its 100% worth it.
Men in Black 2019, haven't seen it & its reviews online aren't really encouraging.

Good analysis.

Disney acquisition of Fox is strategic. 21 Century fox and it's subsidiaries provide Disney the avenue to corner the mature audience. The bulk of fox's content will remain Rated-R, but cost of production is expected to take an upward curve. In other words, Disney is about to monopolize the movie market.

Sony isn't doing so good. Only their lucrative music and gaming industry are keeping their revenue on the green atm. It won't surprise me one bit if Disney or AT&T comes calling one of these days.

Universal is owned by Comcast which is another media titan, albeit has the bulk of it's interest in other markets, particularly the news, and cable TV.

Paramount is owned by Viacom, a multibillionaire company that is vying with Comcast for supremacy in the news market. Don't think they will sell their only pipeline to the Hollywood market. But who the hell knows? Crazier things have happened.

I get you, but look at it this way: every studio will definitely have hits and misses at the box office each year.

Nonetheless, they'll still have sure fire franchises that'll make bank for them.

It's just like I listed on my former post, and on the basis of this, I feel Paramount is for the taking.

WB, Universal and Sony have sure 1 billion dollars film franchises every year.

What can Paramount boast of? Is it the M.I films that are succesful however failed to make 800 mill?


When push comes to shove, I don't think Viacom will mind selling them off. Afterall, why keep a film division after years and years of flops.


And if they decide to keep, then they have another MGM on their hands.

You being a film geek will know that MGM used to be a big deal back then. Today, they're almost non-existent.
