My sincere advise; go back to their office where you submitted the application and grease the hand of the officer there to follow up for you. That's the only way out o. Experience is a good teacher..hope you understand. byeee.

I'm dead sure you have a contact at NIS looking at the assurance of getting your passport next week Monday.

This is what you'll do.

You can't possibly renew till you have six months left on your passport & your 6 months start counting by August which is around the corner. Call your sure contact to renew it for you by next week Monday(29th July). You'll then join the 2 together for submission & to embark on your trip by October. My 1 cent.

My ogas in the house may weigh in though.

*NB*: In another development, please link me up with your contact in NIS. I also want to renew.

Please my passport expires Feb 2020 (next year), and I might not travel until October, should I get a new passport, send both of them to Accra with an LOE? I got 12 days left for submission, I'm somehow sure I can get a passport before Monday next week.
Secondly, I am a single applicant and my family status remains the same (siblings and parent), do I need to complete form IMM008?

Honestly I feel very weak.

Entered the pool with 450 since May1. Missed the 450 draw on the day due to the tie-breaker rule and draws have been over the roof since then.

Sorry guy, find a way to boost your score. I was in d pool with 461 before june 12, birthday july 1st dropped to 456 10th of july crs was 460. Wetin man pikin wan do ? Keep pushing through of course, on my 3rd ielts

Well...my passport expires in Feb 2020 as well, and I just had it renewed. So, yes, its possible: NIS isn't so strict with the 6 months rule.

@capsule, if you do get a new passport, inform through a CSE. It shouldn't matter since you plan to leave by Oct 2019, but you might get a PR visa of a longer validity (if the expiration of your meds is after Feb 2020).
Congrats on your PPR...and best wishes!

How are we supposed to work with it? In this race, there is a thin line between giving people facts and making many feel bad as there are no more ways to improve their score. Don`t give us your prediction abeg... keep it
here:
Yes its is to encourage people am open to criticism but people need to know their chances if not why do you think they tell you the distribution figures? Dont hate just be informed
its isn't speculative but based on the data given like I showed you the CRS distribution as at today.
Now when you know, you plan so for those on this range you get ready and be in the pool as next 2 draws cant be determined from this but from next figures published.
Alittle intellectual work is not lazy work.
Like I said earlier, if all conditions are right based on these figures published next draw will be 460. For those who think it's useful, pls work with it.
Those who dont find it useful atleast thanks for noticing
In all just my contribution to all hopefuls

I just received my gcms notes and it raises more questions than it answers.

Eligibility says recommend interview, info sharing is complete, medicals is passed, security and criminality are not started.

The review from the cases processing agent at the Centralized intake office doesn't raise any concerns and verifies all the information and documents concerning work history, family composition, settlement funds, education, etc. as fine.

The review by the Program Assistant says pretty much the same thing except for this line "POLICE CERTIFICATE ---Primary Applicant Nigeria police certificate: Provided-NRT United Kingdom police certificate: Provided-NRT R10 OK Recommendation: Review Required (my wife is the primary applicant and she schooled in the UK briefly, all documents requested in this regard were provided)

As far as I can see there's no reason stated in the gcms notes for an interview recommendation but there it is in the very first page. Also the delay, my application was submitted almost 7 months ago and the last activity I registered was when the background check section of our profile changed to "not applicable" over a month ago, and before that when I got and answered an additional documentation request in April.

I would really appreciate any suggestions concerning my next move. Visa office is Accra.
Cc Topmamen, LadyMarshall, Ifeoma77, jennypharb1 and any one who can help us.
Thanks

is this to encourage people or what what if there is a back to back to draw next week. these speculations help no one here
On the bright side, it is needed to push through. We some times need this kind of negativity which may not even be to some. Calm down, life is good

I have been following the thread for a while now and I wrote IELTS GT (MOD IDP) for the first time on July 6, 2019. Thankfully, the result came out as LRWS 9, 9, 7.5, 8.5

I would like to share some tips on the listening part. I understand it may not work for some but I think it helped me.

I used Cambridge books to prepare and increased the speed of audio playback (on exam day, the audio felt slower and I had more time to focus). It was difficult initially but I soon got used to listening to the audio, following the questions, and taking notes at the same time.

Before the narrator starts, I skim through the questions, underline key words and think of synonyms while predicting possible answers (or the format the answers could take). Sometimes, there are 'false start' answers; where the narrator corrects the answer while narrating (kindly pay attention).

https://ieltsonlinetests.com/ielts-exam-library#general-training is good for practice. Their listening test audio is faster than the usual Cambridge audio.

IELTS Liz, English Emma and E2 Language channels on YouTube are fantastic resources as well.

I can share the materials I used if you request.

Good day guys...I’m currently at the WES stage. My. School has sent my transcripts to WES via courier and I received a mail from Wes that they are waiting for verification from my school. I called the guy who is monitoring it on my behalf in my school (school staff) who said I will need to send money for the verification via courier service. Is the second verification supposed to be by email to Wes? Or by courier service? Seems the guy want to rip me. I attended National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Your responses will be appreciated.
