Goodluck Jonathan has said that Nigeria should implement electronic voting and that there is no reason we should be using ballot boxes where people can steal them or alter them!!

I think Nigeria should also stop the sale of smart phones and computers,because we are not yet ready.
We should go back to flip phones until we have 24/7 electricity and 100% 5G coverage.
And when we have fiber optic internet in all 36 states then we can lift the ban on selling computers.

We'll largely remain underdeveloped for decades with the excuse "we are not yet ready for it".

There are no right time for certain things. Some things need any time to be the right time. Moreover Nigeria is long overdue to be developed.

After 60 years of election chaos , violence, and irregularities you don't think Nigeria is ready for electronic voting?

There are no obstacles:
Power:-If the polling unit is off grid,use solar panels.
Hardware/Software:We don't have to build the units,we can import them for the time being,"till we are ready to build the units"
User familiarity:If people can use smart phones,they can operate an electronic voting machine. And someone who can't operate a simple touchscreen.....................
Security:If Banks can keep your bank account safe,then why can't INEC keep their results safe!

Data from the biometric during accreditation can not be "stuffed".
Once you know that actual humans were accreditated, the result cannot be overbloated, that's the first step in stopping electoral malpractice. No accreditation on the data capture machine , no result

Once people know that actual people are being counted, that will be the first step to involving the people to protect their votes
