You can do a sim swap/retrieval without being physically present.
All you need is a letter from the SIM owner, his id, passport.
These items can easily be cloned since the person's name is known.

We call that sim swap by proxy, yes it can be cloned. But have another way Mtn use to verify if u actually write the letter yourself, but we will leave that method for Mtn staff only

That's not good enough, Biometric involves finger print etc. A scammer can clone an ID card. Since they require finger print for SIM registration, they should equally use it to swap.
