Not much has changed, Nigeria is still a business venture. The share holders are still the British and the board of directors are the Northerners 7 Likes |

HappyPagan: The problem is that zoogeria has deliberately refused to break out of the yoke of British imbalance because of greed. Many African countries changed to their native names after independence. Zimbabwe was formerly named Rhodesia during colonialism. Zaire now consists of Congo, DR Congo etc. Gold coast changed to Ghana; French upper volta change to Burkinafaso. Zoogerians are nothing but business transactions going bad. 7 Likes 1 Share |

It is the plan of some peoples to have us believe our history started in 1960. I'm not buying this unity crap. There has been a plan for so called majority tribes by 'their' forefathers (not mine) to collectively milk the resources and choke the daylight out of minorities at Fed level. That is what is keeping this country nothing more, they are all guilty and this dominance started wayy before colonials arrival, the only difference now is the agreement between the three is suddenly looking like a one man show. Fvck this shlt let everyone go their way. About every northern state towers above Rwanda- a land locked country sandwiched between giants DRC, Tanzania etc. Heck, Taraba is more than two and half times the size of Rwanda, yet, you wont believe what they've been able to accomplish for their over 12 mil popl some 25yrs after the genocide. Its won't pan out for everyone but I'll take the chance cos as far as this country is concerned we're going nowhere! The peeps who keep preachin unity are those in power (dah!), multinationals, businesses focused on population, politicians, religious rulers (offering time....) or the just plain foolish etc. Just there to cream us nothing more. To the guy from two regions asking where to go in the case of a split? here's a suggestion... pick one. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Difrent: When people are using songs to educate themselves, isn't that a shame, many won't even read further. Its good the song started a conversation. Almost all countries that were colonized by Britain, France, Germany and Portugal was doe through these companies. You have the east India company, dutch east indies company, British east African company, French west African company, new Zealand company, Massachusetts bay company etc. These trading companies are given rights by their respective govts to trade exclusively like a patent in the territories they occupy and administer it and when issues arise they can count on the support of their home govts to enforce their rights. Eventually these rights to administer these territories were taken from private hands by the govt and it happened all over the world. It was totally not unique to Nigeria or africa. 2 Likes |

I have been interacting with the youths of today. They know nothing about themselves not to talk of the country. This information is not so special cause I have read about it long ago even as am just 30. I can even relate the story of the Nigerian civil war from different perspectives as if am there even though I was not born during the period. There was a book by Alexander A. Madeibo or something who relate it from the Igbo perspective. There is another one from a Yoruba Journalist who uses a different perspective. Let us be reading. Am sure there are books where this can be found. I recommend the book by Major Ademoyega, Why we Struck to the you to go and read. 2 Likes |

selemempe: Stop rewriting history, we are all not comfortable with the security problem and all the myriad of the problem affecting the north today but the truth still remains that the Biafra war was caused mainly by Igbo political elites that want to dominate the Nigeria state. The military coupe of 1966, was an Igbo coupe that effect leaders from other ethnic groups, the aftermath of the coupe show the real intention of the Igbos, from the unitary government of ironsi to the marginalisation of other ethnic groups. The north never disgrace awolowo, Nigerians play politics of sentiment, people vote base on either religion ( north) or tribe (south), Igbos are also as guilty as northerners in denying awolowo the presidency. Bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen are as a result of the failure of government, deep extreme religious intolerance in the north, poverty and illiteracy. It wasn't directly created by the north to keep Nigeria backward. The igbos, yorubas and the Hausas are all guilty in making Nigeria what it is today, stop blaming the northerners alone 1 Like 1 Share |

gidgiddy: This is very far from the truth, Nigeria is a country of its own, trading with countries she chooses to trade with. Our largest trading partner is the Chinese, Indians and Americans. Our system of government is modelled over that of America. The British Empire is long gone, they have close to zero influence on how Nigeria is been governed. The northerners are not the board of directors, don't let your hatred of others killed you. The economy of Nigeria is run by southerners, the organised public sector is dominated by southerners, there are 36 states across the federation and each of these states reflect the ethnic demography of Nigeria, each of these states have governors democratically elected by the people of these states. There are southern and northern politicians. Since the return to democracy in 1999, we have had 2 southern presidents and 2 northern presidents, tell me how the northerners are the board of directors 1 Like 1 Share |

This is from a quick google search India has more than two thousand ethnic groups, and every major religion is represented, as are four major families of languages (Indo-European, Dravidian, Austroasiatic and Sino-Tibetan languages) as well as two language isolates (the Nihali language is spoken in parts of Maharashtra and the Burushaski language is spoken |
