Dude your assertions are flawed. 1) A huge amount of crime - no one said all the crimes - (and the drugs that fuel it) come from illegal aliens. Another huge stash of the crimes are domiciled in DNC controlled areas. Chicago, for example. Americans who go on mass shooting sprees are monsters. But that does not mean that 'criminal' illegal aliens are saints. 2) The federal reserve did not just come into existence in 2016. It has always been there. So, if the economy is setting new historic records, the attributions should go to the elements that varied. In this case, the biggest historic variable in the US economy today is Trump presidency and its policies. Besides, contrary to your assertion, the US interest rate is currently higher than it should be. And Trump has consistently and publicly called out the federal reserve for this. The chastisement has been so hot that CNN and co started speculating that Trump wants to fire the chair. 3) The post WW2 purpose for most of those institutions and their instruments (as it relates to US interests) is no longer very favorable to US. In fact they have been weaponized against the US global hegemony and continued growth. Think of the PROCESSES that led to the so called 'Iran Nuclear Deal' and 'Paris Climate Accord' and how they amounted as threat to the US economic future and its national security and foreign policies - especially in the Middle East. Trump is changing this trajectory. But Europe won't be doing the US any favor per se by staying clear of Moscow and Middle East. Their very survival depends on reforming the EU, reversing its super state ambitions, and responsibly reinforcing its ties with the US - especially as it relates to trade and NATO. Iamgrey5: 1 Like |

Iamgrey5:Lol there is no contradiction here sir. Have you heard of Alexy Navalyn? He is the head of the pro democracy movement in Russia. You can read up on his activities. He will give you an idea of how messed up and shambolic Russia is today. Yes the sanctions have helped exacerbate the economic decline in Russia but the sanctions are not the cause. Russia today is a country steeped in corruption. Nothing works without having to pay a bribe. Russia is like the European version of Nigeria. Plenty of corrupt public officials and billionaires with ill gotten wealth. I have studied Russian and I speak the language and know Cyrillic too. I know alot about Russia to tell you that it has nothing, absolutely nothing to contribute to the world. Its living on past glory. These weapons they're even selling today are remnants of the research and works of the Soviet Union. 2 Likes |

AgreatMan: And you call this retort what? With or without tax would people take car rides or not? Uber is not bringing any so called FDIs into the Nigerian economy. They are only exploiting new business niches that have been unexplored. Is it Uber buying cars for Nigerians? Like wtf did you just even spew? How much has Uber invested in driver trainings, safety culture or even fu..cking CSR? People like you don't think of the wider consequences of things. You don't see the bigger picture and that's why we are still were we are. Only looking at benefits at a micro level. Oh your car dealer sold 13 Toyotas. Wow...and those Toyotas were Nigerian made or isn't this capital flight we talked about? When other countries are investing in cleaner fuels and reducing use of singular modes of transport this one here is celebrating populating our roads with junks burning bad fuel and polluting everywhere as a form of achievement. No wonder we have the kind of leaders we have. I am sure Jonathan would be out there celebrating bringing Facebook to Nigeria Oh since Dangote employs thousands of people, we should kukuma tell him not to pay taxes anymore. When the small business man in Alaba has to pay tv tax, street urchins tax, LG tax, detuct VAT and even pay state and Federal taxes. How lovely is your stupid ideas? Let me break it down for you. Local businesses like Taxis have to pay extra to have an hackney permit or commercial license to ride. Most ubers have just private driving licenses which to the society is a loss as these cars exert more pressure on public infrastructure and that's why commerical cars are required to pay more to be able to service these things. Also i am talking about Uber as a company and not their "partners" aka drivers. If Uber is taking over the jobs of local taxis and are exerting pressure on our roads aren't they expected to pay their fare share i.e tax for business continuity purposes? Also compare Lagos traffic from 5-6 years ago and now . Based on just basic assumptions there is like a ratio of 6:4 of ubers to other private cars on most Lagos roads. There are much more cars on the road than is needed because thousands of drivers are on the road scouring for rides. This is causing untold hardships on the general populace due to loss of man hours in needless traffics and the bigger one wear and tear of roads which costs billions of Naira to fix. The more the cars we have on the roads burning fuel the more subsidies the country has to pay on petrol. You guys are just dumb honestly. All these are what intelligent people figure out and look at cutting out. Yeah there are thousands Uber is providing a daily livelihood to but at what cost to the general public, infrastructure and sanity? You don't even want me to dive into the slavery that Uber is. That's another topic for another day. You live in a 3rd world country and humans are being exploited is what you would call gainfully employed. Please next time when you want to quote me, have your points clearly researched. Thank you. Ps ..i am at a mech workshop and i have lots of time to burn today |

Olafisoyem: Macron may have a point there. It's not only France suffering from American companies use of tax avoidance and funny accounting policies to reduce their global taxes. Almost all multinationals from all countries are guilty of it. Starbucks at a time had not paid a cent as corporate tax in the UK for 20 years despite thriving there. Trump is businessman notorious for using tax avoidance not too pay taxes in the US. He has repeatedly refused to declare how much he paid as taxes. He knows almost all multinationals take advantage of tax haven't and tax loopholes and therefore miffed that US companies were singled out. 1 Like |

The man that went bankrupt how many times again? Is it this same man that goes back on his contracts and stifle those who have worked for him? The way you lots worship Trump is very peculiar. FYI, it is not only France. UK is also considering taxing these businesses. They are not the only businesses that provides employment or has a large number of employees for people, yet these businesses pay their taxes to the Government. AgreatMan: 1 Like |

You obviously did not know what Macron did. 1) What he and his senate imposed on those US tech companies was NOT tax, but LEVY. 2) The levy was not imposed on profit but on REVENUE - contrary to acceptable business tax norms. 3) The qualifying threshold was not only on revenues generated in France, but global revenues were also considered. 4) Can you imagine the consequences this will have on other countries' policy against those US tech companies, if Trump allows this to slide or even fail to make a HUGE public noise about it? Dude, Trump is way out of your league of reasoning. He's not just the president of the greatest country ever on earth, he's a first generation billionaire too. Olafisoyem: |

dermmy:i know what you haters of America want to achieve, that is undermining the US powers. You folks keep making it seem that without allies the US can't win any war on their own which is bad. Check out all the wars USA has been fighting, it's them that has the highest input, influence and loss on the offensive side. The US has offered more help than any other country on this universe. They have sacrificed alot, so You think if Russia or china had the world superpower you would be here now. Inasmuch the US is not a saint, but they care about human life. imagine the world crawling with Arabians and Muslims as world power. NATO countries was created to protect the interest of certain member countries with USA serving as the bedrock. Those countries receive help and support both financially and otherwise. So they will voluntarily join and assist their brother country whether in need or not to ensure the aim of NATO creation is been preserved. 3 Likes |
