Is obvious u are one of the wicked employer....

Thats the reason most of this ur one man business don't grow... because soldier go, soldier come
You are free to open your own company and pay your employees in $$££€€ so that they can come online to praise you as best employer.

For your info, no matter how much you pay Nigerians, they will still find ways to steal and loot your business or company dry if you make small mistake.

Go to IOCs, top FMCGs, Banks, etc and hear the millions and billions their top employees (supervisors, managers, directors, EDs) are stealing secretly despite the huge salaries and allowances their employers pay them.

Despite the millions, billions of benefits that your President Buhari and the Governors are getting legally, did it stop them from looting Nigerian treasury using all means including using their family members and political fronts, so face front angry

Why should there be a body regulating how much salaries private companies pay their employees when there are no functional, active bodies regulating how government officials and office holders loot money meant for constructing good roads, steady electricity, water supply, national security, tax collection and proper utilization

Do you know how much tax private companies pay to Nigerian government and yet these useless government of Nigeria collect huge taxes from private companies and businesses and will never use the tax+crude oil revenue to build good roads, supply steady electricity and secure Nigeria and Nigerians.

Private companies hire private securities to protect their company and business properties, to escort their managerial staff members around town to avoid kidnapping or robbery, they even go to the extent of reconstructing roads leading to their company or factory premises that have been abandoned by government.

They use millions of naira to import power generators and they spend million monthly to buy fuel to power these giant generators so their factories and businesses can function, so why should the useless, failed, cursed Nigerian government have the right to regulate the amount of salaries they pay to their workers

If you don't like their pay, resign and go look for a government job!!! angry

Lily livered citizens of a failed nation! Why can't you all use same strength and anger and occupy the streets of Nigeria demanding for change in how useless President and Governors run Nigeria like Hong Kong citizens have been doing for weeks now, but fear and cowardice won't let you all, keep suffering and leave private companies out of your failures!!!

failed country

First, it is a natural curse on black Africans to be selfish, corrupt and undisciplined.

Secondly, the wrong almagamation of Northern Nigeria with Southern Nigeria further exposed the weakness of black people living in Nigeria; it gave birth to selfishness among tibal leaders occupying national leadership positions to focus mostly on things that better their tribesmen and region first, which gave birth to tribalism, religious favoritism and public office misuse and corruption.

Gradually the corruption among the ruling class while unchecked spread among the commoners and overtime it became a national identity and way of life

Some employees won't understand, while working under a boss, I thought he wasn't been kind to us as our salaries are been paid every 15th of the next month. Boss travelled outside and I was to oversee the activities and maintain the organization, Believe u me, I find it difficult to pay my own self salary at the end of the month...No good employer want to enslave his employees, let's be reasonable with our company at times, the country is not favourable to any organization as of now...

This is just the truth. Only a few companies have their profits increasing significantly year on year. Many others have flat profits. It's not easy remaining in business.

You forgot to add that some are operating in a near comatose state with heavy debt burdens and very demanding circumstances.

It is only those who have never run a business that will complain about any organization that manages to pay her staff in this economy.

For your information, I know of a very visibly attractive IT company that takes an overdraft monthly on the 2nd day of each month just to effect their payroll. This has been ongoing since 2016. They barely break even but the promoters are working very hard to reposition things without showing any of the staff the door.

Again, try opening a provisions kiosk like the neighbourhood Aboki and pay salaries from the proceeds made for at least one year befre coming to complain about bad, wicked, irresponsible and insensitive employers.

One of the biggest specialist Hospital in Nigeria with Head office in Victoria Island and a branch in ikeja have not increased salary of their staff in the last 7yrs. It is frustrating , the most annoying part is that they keep buying property everywhere and ignoring the staff welfare. I tell you, Nigeria employers are wicked.

Yes of course they ought to declare profit because they went into the business (trading, manufacturing, banking, real estate, insurance, logistics, etc) to make profit not to enrich employees.

In fact for your info, most private companies (multinationals) have a secret policy not to enrich their employees but to keep them comfortable/healthy to work, reason they retire top level EDs once they attain certain level and have gained considerable years of experience.

Whoever wants to be rich in life should summon the courage and go start his own business or company.

If not for secret looting and shady deals behind company knowledge, no employee of any firm will be rich, its how its supposed to be.

So their profit doesn't concern the employees, if an employee is tired of a job or pay, resign honorably and seek for job elsewhere, your employer is only obligated to pay you what he stated in your employment letter and based on other company terms and policies you signed while joining, nothing more.

Nigerians should vent their anger on the useless failed foolish, shameless President, Governors, Senators and Ministers destroying their future not private business or company owners that are not finding it easy to make ends meet and to break even.

The guy complaining, is he not aware that Chivita has been sold partially to NBC because of challenges in running the comy due to harsh economy situation in Nigeria.

Who believed Diamond Bank would close shop

Businesses and companies and factories aren't finding it funny in Nigeria, all thanks to the useless people ruling Nigeria yet the citizens can't revolt or occupy the streets but they can occupy the street because of El ZakZaky angry

As for government workers, majority of them are idle, they annoy me angry

Hmm. It's only an employee that will not understand what employers go through to pay salaries of their workers. Let him go and open his company and pay salaries let's see before he talk about increment.
Local man is frustrated

The struggles of the employer are not the concern of the employee. It is also a struggle to get up early in the morning, spend your productive hours and energy working for someone else. Salary payment is a right and if the employer cannot afford it, he should not hire people.

Looking at your discussions since, engaging you is engaging an hypocrite. You are busy giving unnecessary parallels to defend injustices and maltreatment. We all know that the economy is bad, but taking it out on employees is wickedness. If you can't afford to keep to your contract with your employees, then run your business alone or employ the number of people you can manage effectively. We are all in this situation together in this Nigeria, stop taking advantage of people to have a better life because you're privilege than them. If I was still an employee, I would have love to work with people like you to teach you bitter sense that you don't mess and toil any how with people. We achieve together in communication, not unnecessary bossing around and taking undue advantages of others.

if Nigerian youths can summon courage to be protesting for El Zakzaky but cannot summon the same courage to occupy Nigeria until Buhari and co failed leaders resign or do something to change the situation of things in Nigeria, then they have no freaking right to complain about how much a private business or company pay them!!

Let's be fair with ourselves, if he is given a letter of employment stating his income which is an obligation of the company for his time and effort, in as much I know as an employer, it's not easy, I am obliged to pay.

It's not a casual job where earnings are made daily and can be changed the following day. Chi is not a small company and recently, Coca cola just acquired majority stakes, so there is still funds to go round if properly utilized. They should stop denying a labourers legitimate pay just to claim profits.

This ur post says alot about ur personality and how u see ur fellow human being.

So because "na company wey em no get", the owner should keep slashing her pay till he finally sack her.
I mean what reason justifies working diligently just to see a pay cut on a regular at the end of the month, with no notice or justifiable reasons and all u have to say is the crap above....

U have a slave mentality. Only God knows where u r suffering hell and putting with it....

God will bless you for this truth u have declared without fear or favour...

Don't mind these slaves here that poverty have denied even their sense of acknowledgement of their own rights... Is frustrating having people like these in a such a frustrating situation to make an opinion.

Granted the present economy of Nigeria is hard on the private sector... But a worker duly employed, who has not been found wanting in the discharge of her duty, if for any reason a pay cut will come, deserves to know on time, with a justifiable reason. And such cut should not come on a regular basis... Haba!...

This person is contributing to the growth of ur business for crying out loud and deserves to be treated as human...
He has family and he is educated... If u own and run a company, did u also train her??

Please let's learn to condemn bad things when we see it.

So cos she doesn't have a company, her salary should be slashed till she start working free. Nonsense... I wonder what has happened to us Nigerians

No matter how u look at it, we all can not own a company or own a business. Name where it is the case in any part of the world.. #smh

I keep saying this, Nigerian situation have created a mentalityiin people such that no body is oriented again.. Nigeria has impacted a condition like HIV stage 4, And it has eaten deep into us that black is no more black here, we try to justify at the slighest provocation why it should be called white.... That's sad.... Please!!!
