Hi everyone, please does anyone know the areas where the semester fee can take you for Uni Bayreuth? |
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by heybaby12(f): 6:47am On Jul 28, 2019 |
Toybeck:It's actually just 18mins by train. But using chemnitz address then you would have to extend your visa in chemnitz and they dont extend until your visa expires or something like that. You would definitely have friends in chemnitz. Crashing there a night or two wont be bad . All in the name of jobs ok. 1 Like |

Good morning, Here is my transcript of my interview which held on 26th of July. I'll try to be as detailed as possible and state my observations and advice to those people that are yet to do theirs First of all I want to appreciate the many others that posted their interview transcripts before now it helped a lot...... I also wanna thank Mane(don't know your nl username) for walking me through the process. Lodged @bayland hotel (the mosquito for that hotel no be small thing) but it's quite ok for the price and their AC is quite chilling. Please try to get paper clips so you use to sort your documents , Original and 2 photocopies then you pur paper clip, makes things a lot easier. Sorted my documents the night before the interview. Then I noticed I forgot to print my appointment mail, I panicked, dashed out of the hotel at 9 PM in search of cyber cafe for over 1 hr, which was fruitless. Please if you manage to find yourself in such situation, don't fret. you'll see where to print around the embassy though @1k per page Set my alarm to 3.30am, I finished preparing and set off for the embassy @5am. Everywhere was still dark but bikes and keke were moving. I was literally wandering around in search of the main bus stop, got a keke to bonny camp sha and I asked for directions to the embassy which I trekked to from bonny camp. On my way to the embassy, saw one of those hustlers told him I wanted to print, I sorted that out before getting to the embassy. Long story short, paylinus arrived, time for arrangement of documents. Please note: there's no need for you to carry bag to the embassy..... a transparent or paper folder is enough. And also there's no need to be panicky, if you have your documents sorted and separated with paper clips you're good to go. I arranged my documents accordingly by following what paulinus was telling those whose turn were before me. So when it got to my turn , I did it sharpaly. The long waiting time got to my nerves when we got to the waiting room, as belle dey turn me na him piss dey worry me, the longer I waited the more uncomfortable I got. I decided to converse with those waiting with me, we made light jokes and stuff.... then we saw a guy come out of the interview room sweating!!!!!, lmao.... I was like today na today, then there was another man literally shouting in the interview room, we could hear him @the waiting room, then a girl came out and was like she wrote test, I was like testi kwa biko are you guys sure I'm in the right place, I'm here for Visa interview ooo not Post Jamb. Anyways it got to my turn , I was interviewed in room 2 by a dark skin elderly pretty woman. She asked for my original documents, then gave me a list to check if my photocopies were arranged accordingly, I checked and told her it was arranged well. She asked for my school name and many other basic details which I can not remember right now, then we did biometrics, paid Visa fee and signed on a document. Have you been to Germany before? Have you applied for Visa before? Who is sponsoring you? She saw my CAC certificate and asked what it is , I explained to her. Have you funded? I have done the transfer but fintiba is yet to send me confirmation. **so she gave me a paper and told me to write down an email address there and send the fintiba confirmation there when I receive it*** Do you speak German? I speak a little German. I just finished my A1 classes a month ago at the goethe institute Interview proper ***please note I may not state the questions in accordance to the way she asked**** Why Computer science? **this question actually threw me off balance lol, I wasn't expecting it to be the first though I had prepared for it, I paused for few seconds before I answered *** My answer: This is because one of the most important aspect of CS is problem solving. Problems from different areas like business, science, engineering, healthcare and many more can be solved by a computer scientist. A computer scientist can create software and hardware to solve many problems. The ability to make life easier for people, help people connect faster(and I mumbled some words) is something I've always dreamt of as a teenager and something I'll love to spend the rest of my life doing. What do you know about Germany ? Federal republic of Germany is a country in west and central Europe. It is bordered by 9 countries(wanted to start listing them but I was too nervous so I skipped it). It has 16 constituent states, it's official language is German, official currency is euro. Capital is Berlin which is also the largest city. ***the she cut me short here , and said tell me about the economy ***? Germany has the fourth largest economy in the world by nominal GDP and the fifth largest economy in the world but purchasing power parity. It is the world's third largest exporter and importer of goods. Its home to various big companies and industries like Audi, Bosch, Adidas, Allianz, BMW, Mercedes Benz ***I think she was saing something here, but I couldn't hear cos I was talking fast and trying to get all my points across *** . It exports products ranging from vehicles, transport equipment, basic metals, rubber and plastic, then I said transport equipment again ...... **she cut me short and said what about politics*** Germany is led by Chancellor Angela Merkel, she exercises her executive power through her cabinet. **the she cut me short again but I didn't hear her so I continued**. She was elected in 2005 and the name of her party is Christian Democratic union. ***at this point I felt she was impressed, cos she said something like nice, then said what about the president *** The name of the president is Frank Walter steimeier, he is invested with representative(not sure if that's what I said Lol, cos I was talking fast) responsibility and power. He was elected in 2017 and the name of his party is social democratic party. **the VO nod her head*** Why germany? Germany is ranked among the top 15 schooling systems in the world . Its dual teaching system which combines theoretical learning and practical training produces graduate that are well equipped for work environments. ***then the VO said is that all**** It provides high quality education at almost no cost It is safe country with low crime rates It is a beautiful country with various sites and landscapes where one can relax and socialize during free time which helps create a balanced study life. *** then she nod her head, looking impressed *** Why not Nigeria? Here in Nigeria, it's more about theoretical learning and no practical training, which really won't help me. I'll love to gain international exposure (then I mumbled some words) The inconsistent academic calendar due to incessant strike action by academic and non academic staff . Why not US/UK? The are too expensive I cannot afford It. What's the title of your project thesis? I told her. Then she asked me to spell a particular word. I did. Then she asked me to explain that word.. at point I was nervous, I just mumbled words that came to my head. What is your plan after study? I plan to come back to Nigeria to start a company that creates software and provide digital solutions to....**then I mumbled some words*** **then she asked me to repeat it** I said what I said and stepped at solutions. Do you have family or friends in Germany? I have 2 friends that study in Germany. ***I actually have no friend in Germany, but my nerves gave me 2 friends at that point, lol*** When are you resuming ? I said October 7, **** she raised up her head like is something wrong with this boy, cos on my admission letter, I'm supposed to resume by September. So I quickly clarified ***. I am supposed to be in Germany between 3rd and 26th of September for enrollment and lectures begin by 7th of October **then she nods her head*** The she said that's the end of the interview, don't forget to send your fintiba confirmation to the email address as soon as you get it. I wish you best of luck. ***at this point I didn't know what to say, I was like so interview don finish just like that, where is the test, I no go comot here if I no do test oo Lmao**** I probably said Thank you ma like 10 times before I left. Lol. **** please note: most of my answers were not as smooth as stated above, I was very nervous, I talked fast and I tried to get all my points across and the VO was very patient with me, she didn't rush me**** That's all for now. Thanks. See y'all in Germany 48 Likes 4 Shares |
