Tryonne Ebuehi came on at the 73rd minutes for Nuno and played a vital part in helping his team Benfica retain their 1goal lead as they defeat AC Milan in an International club friendly match. Good to have the lad back. 5 Likes |

Former Chelsea youth-teamer Michael Olise has been allocated a new shirt number by Championship outfit Reading, six days before their first competitive game of the new season against Sheffield Wednesday. The France U18 international donned the number 48 jersey when he made his professional debut against Leeds United in March 2019. Reading have confirmed that Olise will be wearing the number 21 shirt in the new season and added that the number is subject to change before it is submitted to the Football Association and Football League. The 17-year-old playmaker wore the number 11 jersey when he made his international debut for the French team against Qatar at the 2019 Toulon Tournament. Meanwhile, he showed flashes of brilliance as Reading lost 4-3 at home to Chelsea in their final pre-season game on Sunday after coming off the bench at half-time. Sam Baldock halved the deficit with 20 minutes left on the clock, with Olise providing the assist for his goal. Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham played 45 minutes each for the Europa League holders. 2 Likes |

Earthquake2:carried away you say? No,trust me saw hunger in his approach and that's all he need to get back to his best considering his talent. I hope he has a good run of minutes. An early goal in the forth coming campaign might be a good turning point in his career. 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: Colin Udoh covers this in that piece. Players in the league need to go out and learn again. Odey, that people were already saying, he should join super eagles. It is obvious that he was not super eagles quality then because even now, he is still a work in progress.. I have always been of the opinion that you can't just pick players from the league. The quality is not good enough. The talented ones will go abroad and find their way to the top. Most will disappear. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Kelechi Iheanacho has said his confidence has returned on the back of his goals for Leicester City in pre-season. Lack of game time and goals in the 2018/2019 season with Leicester City led to his exclusion from the Super Eagles squad to AFCON 2019 in Egypt. On Saturday, he netted two goals in a 2-2 draw with Rotherham United and he has now scored three goals in two games. He opened the scoring in the 11th minute to give Leicester City 1-0 lead. He completed his brace in the 72nd minute to give his team 2-1 lead, but his compatriot Michael Ihiekwe denied Iheanacho and his team victory with equalizer to end the game 2-2. He said: “I am delighted, I am happy getting two goals and hopefully I can take that into the season. “I think it’s important for my confidence. It has been a long time coming, but I am happy again. I think I can take it fully into the season.” 1 Like |

andrew444: Jo was no where average. Jo's problem was his lifestyle which cut his reign short. When he was at CSKA Moscow before joining City, he up there amongst the best in Russia, if not the best. I think he scored over 30 goals in 50 appearances as a young star. He just got carried away with his big salary at City at stopped working hard. Some of Jo's goals at Russia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvFcuaFCzrk 1 Like |

edi287: Oga not everyone is an ardent follower of Nigerian football, so what is saying is new to a whole lot of us because many ignorant Nigerians believe that we can gather 11 world beaters straight from our league. Which in reality its a fantasy. What Collins has done is to bring to the fore(and by extension to the world) in one concise piece, a summary of our inherent football problems and solutions. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
