Dear Mamas kindly assist, DD has been stooling for 8 days, although not always watery but like 5-6 times daily, 3times at night and like 3-4times during day time, took him to the hospital a test was done , no infection seen but malaria, was given anti malaria, zinc and ors, we still have like 3doze of zinc table left but baby has not been taken the ors solution, he spits it out. Condition has not improved, baby is 8month old, I don't want to believe this is teething related or could it be jedi-jedi as stool iis sometime foamy and mucus like occasionally. Also he seems to be feeling stomach ache or uncomfortable b4 stooling as he rolls abt and grunts b4 stooling.
Also doc prescribed I deworm him after completing medications but I have read here that baby are dewormed at 1yrs and above so I am not considering that.
Kindly assist a jjc mom

My son also had this at about 8months, everyone made me believe it was teething. I did zinc and ors at home, when i was about 5days into it and no improvement, i went to the clinic. Ours was infection and he was also dewormed at that age, by day 2 or 3 after treatment, it stopped. So trust your doctor.

You really do not need to wean because you are preggos. You can continue except you can't meet up with the physical and mental demands or medical reasons, then it is fine. I weaned my 11months old with just water o although the first night was tough, i fed solids twice and ended up backing him cheesy cheesy. I did this cos when my sister wanted to wean my niece, she used juices and the likes and this girl would wake twice every night, it became an habit cos of juice. My son wakes once, takes his water and back to sleep. Sometimes he doesn't wake at all.

And yes he is young for tea and juices. I would suggest water too or keep trying his formula.l

Just give water. Some people give tea but I didn't want to be making night tea for ever and ever (Tea is Milo and formula pls)

Search the thread for weaning tips, it's a topic that has been extensively discussed

Pele on the MS and congrats on the baby on the way, go and register on Preggy thread grin

I weaned using WATER at night not tea or anything else. My baby was 13 months though.

I used water because I never ever want to wake up in my life to make food or tea for a child.

Pls new mum in the house. How do you treat episiotomy wound. Gave birth on Wednesday and doctor advice sitzbath (lukewarm water and salt) three times daily. Followed the process judiciously but my wound broke down( stitches got loose when I went to poo). Had to go back for resuturing today. (It hurts)
I constipate alot during pregnancy and also had hemorrhoids.

I'm in serious pain can't even sit to breastfeed my LO.
Any advice on what to do?

Mothers in the house please I need advice, my wife is pregnant, this is just the first trimester and she throws up at any food she eats and even the bathroom she love now makes her throw up. While brushing she throws up, I need help or advice on how we can reduce this throwing up.

I will be patiently waiting.

That's normal first trimester for you, you just have to endure it, hopefully it would go away after the first trimester. Ask her to join the pregnancy thread and sign up with her team. Maybe meeting other people in her condition would help. You can also go and ask your question there, they would be happy to help.

I think yours is okay, if something is wrong, you'll probably be in much more pain than you're describing. You can ask hubby to check or you check using a mirror too. In my opinion its best to just care for the site as you were told and leave it alone. Obsessing with it leads to depression cheesy. As long as it's kept clean, and you're not doing any inappropriate work, it would heal quickly. When you need to sit, try sit on harder surfaces like plastic or wooden chairs. Sitting on soft mattrasses or sofas disturbs the site.

A nurse warned me about constipation after my first baby and her advice really helped. She said to cook a giant pot of vegetable soup and freeze it. Every day, just eat a bowl of it, no swallow. Eat little from all most of the carbs omugwo people would bring. Eat a lot of fruits and drink a lot of water. Eat little bread, rice, eba eat beans. Give your epi site at least two weeks to heal before you enter feasting mode.

Sorry about the pain, you can breastfeed while lying down. If you need to seat, find a wooden stool. Pele.

God bless you ooo. Sincerely there's a difference when I sit on my mattress, sofa compared to when I sit on stool. So mattress makes it painful chai! Now I know better. I have been obsessed ever since my friend said her own got loosed. I'll try to take it of my mind. I do sitz bath morning and evening, is it okay? Thanks for your response ma. I really appreciate o
